Episode 1 of Westworld was very entertaining. It definitely uses a lot of concepts from the Westworld movie back in the 70's although not a lot of people saw or remember that.

Very interested to see how the show develops although not sure exactly how it can be a long running show. I'd be quite happy if they limit it to one really good series and finish it at that.

I've never been a fan of Westerns. Probably one of the reason why I never watch Back to Future 3. The trailers on sky don't seem to be selling it either for me.

that is so not a western though....have you never watched The good The Bad & the ugly...or once upon a time in the west...or even 3:10 to Yuma...you ought to make time for these

Very good, enjoyed it. Watched episode one as well. Well worth watching the movie first, helps to get into the series straight away.

Yeah I'd say that watching the movie puts you at a slight advantage although not absolutely essential. Can't wait for episode 2.

How long are the episodes, I noticed it was still on at gone 10:15 yesterday.

Didn't notice TBH! It was the pilot though, they do tend to be a bit longer....

Anyone else seen any Luke Cage yet? I watched the first episode last night, not sure what to make of it in truth.

Didn't blow me away, then again I thought that about the first couple of episodes of Jessica Jones and that turned out great.

Is the Fall worth carrying on with? Finished the first season and enjoyed it, just never got round to carrying on with it

Getting more into the Lethal Weapon tv show. It's best to pretend that the movies never happened when watching it though as it's obviously not as good.

Yeah there's definitely potential there with Luke Cage but a problem I have with it is that there's only so much you can do with a character who's pretty much indestructible. He's never in any really danger.

Also wasn't sure about the whole blaxploitation vibe going on either, he's black we get it.

Away working ATM. End up watching random films off my hard drive. Watched The Heat with Sandra Bullock. Surprisingly quite funny. Sandra looked quitefit in a bandana!

Watching The Man who knew too much. Can't beat a bit of Hitchcock.......

Watched the second episode of Westworld last night and thought it was great. It's building up very nicely indeed. Very interested to see where they go with it, almost has a Jurassic Park feel to it. Except without dinosaurs of course.

How many episodes/series do people think there will be of Westworld?

Can't go on as long as Walking Dead, or Lost can it?

Not gonna watch Westworld until there's loads of episodes out. Don't mind spoilers though as I'll have forgot them by the time I come to watch it.

Sounds good though, what's the genre, if there's no dinosaurs is there some kind of monster, is it good versus evil? blah blah

I don't think that Westworld will go on as long as that. I actually said before that it might work well as just one really good series and the leave it at that.

Doubt that will happen though as they'll want to milk it for a few seasons.

There's always good versus evil. Don't want to give away spoilers but it's as much an exploration of the human psyche and depravity in a place where you can pay to do pretty much whatever you want to other exactly life-like people.
