I really liked Hacksaw, a solid re-telling of a war story, slow build up but the action scenes are well done, quite damning to watch.

I saw an AMA on Reddit and a WW2 veteran said it was the closest film/ show to reality he has seen.

I liked the clips at the end with quotes and videos of actual people the film is based on, always brings it home to you after watching such terror.

For me, I enjoyed it more than any other film of its kind since Saving Private Ryan.

Band of Brothers is simply amazing!

I agree. They've had several chances to finish on a high, should have taken a leaf out of Boardwalk Empires book.

Cannot wait. The name opens up a can of endless speculation regarding episode 8.

Does the title mean luke is the last jedi or will he die and rey will be the last one? What happened to the jedi luke trained in the last 30 years?Could the title be plural and referring to more than one jedi?

Indeed could well be plural but I'd imagine it's just referring to Luke, the last Jedi. We shall see although it's only fitting that Luke will be the centre of this movie, especially as he played no part in Force Awakens. The red logo is also very interesting, quite foreboding.

Did anyone here watch The Pacific? Fairly similar to Band of Brothers I gather.

Finished series 1 of The Last Kingdom, an absolute must watch for anyone who enjoyed Vikings.

Series 2 coming this spring as a joint BBC and Netflix production which should mean an even bigger budget.

Tried it. Found it meh tbh

How many episodes did you watch? I wasn't at all convinced after watching the first episode but a couple of episodes in and I was hooked.

Not saying it's as good as Vikings of course.

Only first couple. Might give it more of a chance when I have some time. Kind of more interested to read the books tbh

Think its worth remembering Jedi is an honourific, so strictly speaking at the end of 7 start of 8 he is the last Jedi - that doesnt mean there cant be more after
