So this new trilogy overseen by Rian Johnson will have nothing to do with any of the characters from episodes 1 to 9 or Rogue. Or at least very little to do with them anyway and will be set in a previously unseen corner of the galaxy.

Interesting. Means that they can do just about anything they want with it I suppose. Sounds like a huge undertaking. Also must mean that Disney/Lucasfilm must have some serious belief in Rian Johnson if he's overseeing the entire new trilogy.
