Watched Justice League today and really enjoyed it. Not perfect by any means but as a comic book movie was very entertaining.
After Wonder Woman and Justice League I think that the DCEU has shaped up quite nicely this year after the disappointment that was Suicide Squad.
Can't say I'm hugely interested in an Aquaman solo movie or a Cyborg one though. Hopefully Green Lantern and the corps gets brought into the Justice League sequel.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the lasting feeling I've gotten from the two times I have seen the movie, it just comes across as an enjoyable DC movie.
Aquaman is already done and is set to be released next year and Mamoa's depiction of the character makes me excited for the movie. Hopefully Atlantis looks considerably better and we finally get to see him wield the trident.
I'd like to see a Lantern film done well and the main question would be who they bring in, Hal Jordon or John Stewart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
* Spoilers ahead *
Was cool seeing a few Green Lanterns used in the flashback war scene against Steppenwolf.
They'll have to bring in Green Lantern into the fold soon enough. Probably in part two if/when they battle Darkseid etc. I'm no Green Lantern expert but they've already done Hal Jordan once with Ryan Reynolds so could see them going a different route.

Hell yeah. Must be soon right ?
December superb
Im surprised its happeing at the same time as Vikings next season. I thought it was meant to be the off season alternativr
The film was disjointed, inchorent and largely just things hitting each other...
-------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. Exactly the same could be said of Avengers: Age of Ultron though. Personally thought Justice League was better.

Johnny Guiter (1945) Director : Nicholas Ray
Joan Crawford as Vienna dominates the screen, alongside the tall wandering figure of Sterling Hayden ( Dr Strangelove) as Johnny 'guitar' Logan, in this classic western drama about the tension between Crawford’s Vienna, a saloonkeeper, and the locals who are strongly opposed ,not only with the crooked business she keeps with the The Dancin' Kid gang , but also the potential renovation of the towns new railroad
Battling against Crawford's protagonist is Emma, played viciously twisted by the excellent Mercedes McCambridge, as the films main antagonist.
A character that would make even today’s live action villains look like mere p*ssycats in comparison.
With the direction by Nicholas Ray (Rebel Without a Cause) we witness his great handling of character, sets and a narrative that flows by with confidence, intrigue and interest about the small little solitary area of a this Arizona cattle town .
★★★★

i really enjoy these reviews of old movies, grate stuff!

Thanks.
I can understand your gripes with the movie but having watched it twice, I feel 7/10 does it justice.
--------------------------------------------
Agreed. Even if I've only seen it once so far.

Ridley Scott commenting on the reshoots on All The Money In The World :
“I was finished with the film and was in [U.K. recording studio] Abbey Road finalizing the music. Someone was like: Guess what? And that’s where it began. I sat and thought about it and realized, we cannot. You can’t tolerate any kind of behavior like that. And it will affect the film. We cannot let one person’s action affect the good work of all these other people. It’s that simple.”
“I think it was about time. Harvey [Weinstein] definitely was way overdue. There will still be a few more people out there gritting their teeth who are way overdue.”
“You have to know who you’re going to go for [to recast the role] and if he’s available. Chris [Plummer] was always on the list. So you find that out, but quietly, because you don’t want it going around. I flew into New York and met with [Plummer] and he said yes. So then we had to figure out if everyone else would be available to fit in these new days of shooting. Miraculously, they were. Before you can make the decision you have to make these quick phone calls around — not to the actors directly, but to the agents — saying there’s a possibility I may need some pickups [a.k.a. additional shooting days]. You don’t say why because of the gossip, but of course it was really for something much more significant… It was better to do it like this because once you inform the system, it’s everywhere. Once two people know what it’s about, bang, it’s all out there.”
“Because I know I can deliver. [Laughs] I move like lightning. I’m already two scenes ahead. It’s simple! If you know what you’re doing, you don’t need 19 takes. You do one for the actor, one for me. It’s all planned out. When you storyboard, you’ve already pre-filmed the movie in your head — the wide shots, close shots, establishing shots. You’ve gotten some of your weird ideas when you’re quietly sitting, storyboarding by yourself. After a while you learn to trust and listen to your intuition. And I listen to mine. I trust it.”
