Gladiator is the main one I can think of that relies on what he offers

I dont think there's a more suitable actor for the role but maybe I would struggle to imagine it

He was a good gritty move away from the usual swords and sandals leads. Probably the best lead in that sort of film other than Kirk Douglas

I know I’ve seen Magnolia.... but was just the once. Honestly can’t remember. Hospital comes to mind. What’s the time jump one, with Diaz?

And I remember thinking, meh, it was ok.
But I realise I don’t gravitate to those “Roman/Gladitorial’ films. Think Ben Hur put me off.. although Spartacus is pretty great.

Actually the last film I watched, was State of Play.
It’s alright. He’s good in it. Although Helen Mirren obliterates everyone in it.

Anybody started watching Away, space thing with Hilary Swank, its a bit cliche and meh but production is decent and it fills the midweek slot, currently switching between that the assassination of Gianni Versace which I'm enjoying more.

And it’s tough cos they’re all good actors.

But there’s no way Bale drops from that list.
And the friggin’ lighting guy shouldn’t of been moving around like that and got rightly destroyed for it.
I do believe Bale used that guy to vent, cos he knew McG was making crap on Salvation, and he lost it, and took it out on the Lighting guy.
