Hey Biggish I'll have a go at Penny Dreadful. I wasn't entirely sure what audience it was targeting. Is it a bit like Supernatural ?
Are you still here in England by the way mate ? I presumed you are. Hope you're all settled in now and not missing Park Lane too much.

Yes all settled thanks, living in sunny Colchester.

Nice one mate didn't realise you were there, thought you were in London . I'm in Norfolk these days, not far from Norwich so if you're ever over this way or want to come over then give me a shout
Vikings is great fun. Not sure about the historical accuracy but when it's that entertaining who gives a feck

Vikings is historical fantasy so does not pretend to be accurate, tho it does follow general history, just mingles events

To an extent. I'm by no means a historical expert but I'm pretty sure that there are no historical records of the huge battles we see in the TV show for example.
Then again I don't really want historical accuracy in a show as entertaining as this
It's not historically accurate?!? That's the only reason I would watch it. I may as well watch Harry Potter if I'm gonna get fantasy. I like my shows to basically be well acted documentaries. Otherwise what's the point?
It's a bit of a mix I'd say. A lot of the show is probably quite accurate, ie the Viking traditions and religion.
I think it's in actual historical events where they've stretched the truth a bit.
Not wanting to go into spoiler territory of course
Just finished last episode of series 3 of Vikings.
Can't wait for series 4 in 2016.
Going to go back to GOT now and watch series 5 next although it feels like a step down somehow after Vikings.
