maybe the club have seen how Rodgers wasted the money last summer and dont want to give him another 150m or this is the standard of player they can attract now, its not good
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think there is some truth in this but also the fact that the owners need to fund the new development and despite all their waffle it would appear that it's coming directly from the club not them. That's a good thing but they did say that investment in the squad would not be affected but it seems it it going to be.
I think the new tv deal has led your owners to realize they will make big money whether LFC are successful or mid-table so why speculate when you will accumulate anyway.
The money form cl is not as important now as the new tv deal dwarfs that even.
Maybe when the stadium is finished they will release the purse strings again......although you could be some considerable distance behind the top 4 by then. More so than now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its a good job we all know that the both of you are amongst the most clueless posters on the site. Otherwise we may be worried.....
Everton spend loads too by their standards and went terribly backwards. I think you should be concentrating on that, rather than others **
Hmm...clueless mate - Lukaku was 28m and if we sell him in the future we will get more than that back - McCarthy was 14m, again if we ever sell we will make a profit, Liverpool have wasted alot of Money on signings anyway you want to look at it - how much was Balotelli again the problem now will be attracting the players as you have little to offer
Its a good job we all know that the both of you are amongst the most clueless posters on the site. Otherwise we may be worried.....**

Not upset, just saying it as it is. Bitter little no mark
The biggest issue here is that it suggests Mignolet is going to get a reprieve as number 1
That tells me that BR is ignoring the obvious. On his day Mignolet can look outstanding but he does not inspire the confidence that other top clubs keepers do and command his defenders consistently
So another issue that won't be addressed despite players like Cech been on the market
If we could get Cech, he'd be our guaratneed starter, I think he may still be the best keeper in the league and Chelsea starting Courtois is a long term play. I can't see why'd he'd be dumb enough to join us though, he can pick a trophy contender.
Migs been ace since his comeback. I'm completely happy with him as we're not signing Cech and no one has been on better form than him.

What's clueless? I didn't give an opinion, I stated two facts. Everton spent loads by their standards and Everton went backwards. This isn't up for debate. As I said, you should be concentrating on that, rather than making a fool of yourself on here.
He's an accident waiting to happen. He will look great on this day but overall there are issues
He for me is 'OK' but not in the long term
Priorities and budget however so we perhaps need to sort out other areas first
CB, RB, DM, LB, CF x 2
So far we've not seen enough activity on players leaving the club. People like Aspas who have been on loan surely should be starting to be moved on
Nobody compered Valdes to bogdan!
Somebody said signing bogdan was bad business free or not and I said signing a goalie on a free as back was fine business.
DDG will move to Madrid and Utd have his replacement already and he was signed on a free. I also said Valdes is a much better player than bogdan so the utd tárds need to pipe down!
Valdes was brought in as DDG's replacement, not his backup.
Apples and oranges.
Not upset, just saying it as it is. Bitter little no mark**
clearly not upset at all
Everton spent loads by their standards and Everton went backwards **
Everything is up for debate & you're wrong...Balotelli.......enjoy watching Suarez later btw
Didn't we have the option to push for Valdes?
United just had a season where during the run in their GK options were DDG and Valdes. They got 4th place. Both far far better GK's than any Liverpool have got
We are then going to strengthen our challenge for next season by signing AB. But it's OK he's on a free? No one is ever free, you still have to pay him a wage. Probably more than we pay BJ
To genuinely strengthen the squad we need serious competition for SM!
why would Valdes take the Liverpool No2 spot when he got offered the United No1 spot though?
that would be insane.

I certainly will enjoy a world class player that we were lucky enough to have Grace our shirt and entertain us at anfield.
The £28m you paid for Lukaku just makes the £22m we paid for Suarez more of a bargain every time I watch him. Now go and get your cleverly shirt soft lad!

Point is this.
When Valdes recovered from his knee injury we were interested but Utd, who's coach had worked with the player before at Barca took him in. Now do you think a keeper like Valdes would sign up to be DDG long term back up?
I don't think so!
More likely LVG has known that DDG was off after this season and Valdes has had 6 months to train and play u21 football in the knowledge that he'd be first choice next season.

yeah really, not a good idea to use former players to try and make comparisons just highlights how crap your current squad is...
Think that's why I said I'd enjoy watching him tonight and how good it was to have witnessed such talent play for our club.
You rètard!
How many places above Everton did that crap squad finish? How much crappier are Everton then?
