Pretty hard not to out score your other strikers, but no chance with most of that list of other teams strikers.

D....yep, I see where ur coming from, but I feel br will get his fluid front 3 and that (hopefully) will see a rtn to the season b4 last rather than last season.

Ings..studge...origi maybe another striker supplied by couts, hendo, ibe maybe sterling etc..im ok with that.

What a difference a year makes.

I'm sure you said the same thing about Balotelli. And Lambert. And Aspas.

Aspas.....yes, hes flourished back in Spain zo its a mystery y he failed in the prem, reminds me of forlan..

Rvp wont be in this league.

He won't outscore Giroud and Benteke if they stay fit.

Nevermind your strikers even your centrebacks should each be able to outscore Welbeck and Soldado combined

He hasn't flourished back in Spain.

He flourished in a couple of games against a team in the second divison. Nothing like Forlan.

This pretty much. If he plays 15 games and gets 6-7 goals I'll be ecstatic. He could be very useful in the cups as well but I can't see some kind of breakthrough season.

Still remember your baloteli article at the start of the last season.

Out score Giroud

That said, I think Ings is a smart bit of business providing you strengthen further with another striker.

Wouldn't have minded him at United as a squad player. He's nothing special but looks a tidy player and multifunctional as a forward - be that wide or centrally, which gives you more depth and options in terms of formations.

Sterling for Dzeko or Jovetic?

Remember that potential and cheap are two words that are used in our transfer strategy, not proven and experience.

forgetting Milner already?

Dunno really, Dave. I'm not sure Dzeko would work out that well for Liverpool and I reckon Jovetic will end up going back to Italy.

Ings will be a journeyman player. There is no way he's up to the pressure of playing for Liverpool.

Got Better get bent. Do you never tire of being wrong?

Surely Milner + Ings = Minger?

The only thing I would question about his 'aquasition' is what is an 'aquasition'? Sounds like he is going to be turned into a merman.

Out scoring Giroud and Benteke is highly unlikely, not least because he won't be on the pitch as often as they are (injuries aside).

That said, the criticism of Ings I really don't understand either. He's a young player who's just played his first season at the top level, looked comfortable/impressive and scored 11 goals for a team that massively struggled to create chances or score goals. What I saw was a player with good awareness, decent passing, a decent touch and can score a goal. Apparently other people see a journeyman in the making....

I'm not that excited by the signing but if we go into the season with Ings as 3rd choice forward (Origi 4th) then I'd be pretty happy.

Biggest tv deal in history and your owners are keeping it all for themselves.

And/or funding a massive redevelopment of our stadium. Plus the transfer window isn't even open yet.

Thanks for the comment though. Keep plugging away, you'll get the hang of it sooner or later.
