Not really one to get excited about. Good that Garcia has finally stepped up. There will be a load of belts at 140 vacated.
He'll beat Pauli easy, a fresher Pauli would give him big problems and probably beat him though.
Gift better be fighting guys like Thurman, Brook and Porter after this, I let him off for this one because it's his debut at the full 147 limit, but the pillow biter better man up after this
A good intro into the world of 147. Paulie will test him and make him think with his boxing ability, but ultimately I can see Garcia wearing him down and beating him. Will allow him to get a 'name' on his 147 resume, even if that name has seen better days.
A nice tester for Garcia,he shouldn't have too much trouble with Pauli, and a nice pay day for Pauli .

Nah. Paulie will knock Garcia out. He's working with memo heredia now. Looks like the jibes about his punching power got to him and he went and hired a 'strength and conditioning' coach who is known for making undetectable drugs.
Chelsea, that's one number I'd like to have on speed dial.
Are you a professional athlete
Malignaggi will make much tougher for Garcia in there than people realise ... hell 2/3 yr ago Paulie beats Gift Garcia. Garcia doesnt have the work rate or footwork necessary to be one of the best at 147. If Paulie avoids gettin tagged of a big shot then this will be a close fight... regardless what happens Garcia gets the decision or the stoppage.
delboy82 are you kidding?
Garcia would beat Garcia at any point in his career
Peterson and Herrera had Danny in their back pockets. Malignaggi's style really aint that different from them two. Assuming Paulie has the legs and chin he would win this fight. I dont think his feet are as quick which will cost him. Garcia for me gets beaten by anyone with good feet and chin.

Paulie would trouble garcia a few years back but he doesn't have the chin or power to beat him. Garcia is an underrated boxer and his last few fights have been tough for him. Only time will tell how good he is at 147.

i suppose making the weight may have taken something outta Danny, I still maintain that if Paulie has anything left in the tank he causes him problems with his movement (doesnt scratch him mind you!) Was the Garcia/Peterson not at catchweight ?or did he have some problems making weight or soemthing like that ??

If running from the police is an Olympic event, then yep.
Memo isnt cheap mate! He's the creme de la creme of the 'strength and conditioning' world
Good to see Danny Garcia moving up
Maybe a rematch with Khan is on the cards

I'd want to see them all
What a quality packed division
Paulie shouldn't give Danny too many problems
I suppose Danny wasn't going to pick one of the top welters as his first opponent at the weight

Hopefully Danny Swift will have a bigger impression on the welterweight division than Broner has so far as well as Khan for that matter who's done little at this weight yet apart from pretend he's on Mayweather's level.

up the same way ... all still have the same limitations they have had at the lower weights..... Danny poor stamina meaning low workload, poor slow footwork still has the power tho, knocks out all those who dont have a decent chin, will not beat anyont that has a decent chin and movement, Broner similar doesnt have the stamina(or puts in the effort in training) meaning low workload, great boxing brain tbh, footwork no were near as good as he thinks it is, lacks power will always be the same will struggle against anyone who is a hustler/high workload does well against counter punchers and smaller guys. Khan fantastic hadn speed and good timing, average footwork, terrible head movement, ring IQ and poor chin. Gets sparked with by anyone with power but demolishes anyone that cant punch.
