Really hard to call .. Always think speith is an automatic pick now for any tournament in the states .. Furyk maybe ??!!
An animal of a course. It will be interesting to see if the winner is even under par.
If Rory brings his A game it could be a procession but he has been very erratic of late.
Would love to see Mickleson win it just to join the list of GS wimmers, however I reckon that ship has sailed.
Might have a wee punt each way on Ryan Palmer.
Fowler also i reckon will be in the mix.
Of the favourites I think Dustin Johnson could go close, and maybe also Billy Horschel. I think Fowler is a good shout also. Not sure about Rory for this one.
I don't think this course suits Mcilroy as much.
Mickelson (I know his record but he'll like this set up) and Day are my bets. Spieth will be up there as well.
Melts I just feel if Rory brings his A game he could do major damage as he is very difficult to live with when in form.
Would love to see Micklelson do it to complete the grand slam but I feel that ship has sailed.
Fowler could do damage after a good performance on the links in County Down.
Patience is normally the key in the US Open, i think it'll be more so on this course. It's been taking quite a bit of criticism from some, particularly about the "greens" so putting will be crucial.
Rose could be worth a punt, GMac an e/w bet or Jason Day. In a nutshell, i haven't a clue.
Very true Irish.
It's such an unknown entity of a course! What time does Rory tee off today?
No not yet. Around now I think
Really looking forward to this US open and especially this monster of a course, such natural beauty.
I've backed, Furyk & Koepka.
Thanks for setting up the thread Kinsang.
Enjoy lads
Yes, thanks for the thread Kinsang
Danny Willett from Sheffield, highest placed Englishman at this moment in time
Tiger Woods not looking like he's enjoying this.

. . . and me, Igor
What a mare for Fowler and Woods!!!!
The greens are just ridiculous.
Morning Melts, they are crazy mate.
Even Sergio said that they are as bad as the look.
Morning Irish.
I felt sorry for Woods yesterday, some of the putts just turned into a lottery. If someone goes into it low on confidence, it can really punish them.
Johnson played very well though. Mcilroy will be kicking himself, he had so many opportunities. Still in there though!
Johnson did play as well as did Phil although that raft of bogeys on the back 9 made a bit of a dent.
His score should probably have been about 2 shots better in all honesty.
But depending on the weather the greens could get even worse as the week end progresses.
And also what about Monty minus 1 not bad for a 59 year old!!!
I think the morning starters yesterday had a slight advantage, so will be interesting to see how they fare the other way round today.
Rory played well tee to green but couldn't hole anything.
Feel sorry for Woods - obviously trying so hard (too hard??) but sad to see him struggling. Missed a fairway that was a 100 yards wide??!!
Good tough test - I like the course
Monty has just turned 50.
