Around the 1m mark fee wise.
Uniteds number 9! Real number 9 not this Adryan style we had to put up with last year.
I've a feeling he'll do well for us...
Think so mate? Don't think Sheffield will want to let him go even if we throw Sharp in there. Plus I'd like Sharp to have a proper chance with proper service this season
Am I detecting the aroma of happiness at this signing?
Are we seeing a summer of our content?
Or will it be much ado about nothing once again ?!?!?!
No, Cellino will probably sell the kids at the end of August
Murphy, Barton, Centre back next up.
Anything could happen yet, but it's a good show of intent for the club if nothing else.

Swap + cash will be the deal if Sharp goes the other way.
We presented ourselves as a club – Mr Cellino, Adam Pearson, Stuart Hayton and Martyn Glover all had very important roles and then obviously myself on the footballing side.
“We presented to his agent and his parents the best possible way for him and we convinced him that Leeds United is the best move for his career because he has to find a home where he gets regular first-team football.”
^^^ sounds blooming sensible that and professional that does.

Think I'd be happy with that.
Not sure we can compete for Ramos, the fee & wages wouldn't be a problem but his demands of a gallon of hair gel and 1/2 tonne of paella a week wouldn't be feasible.
Which CB's are we looking at between us?
Mike Williamson from Newcastle was mentioned. Think he would be sound in the Championship to be honest...who else is there?
Still not convinced about him
But very happy because of certain things.
Shows ambition
Must be paying going rate
Logic behind the signing ie, tall strong lad at the top of the three
Going for players at the right age
Like that woods family got involved, not just about money, like that in a man.
Barton would be a cracking signing
Nixon says we been thinking of barton for 6 weeks now and theres just a few senior people in the club throwing poison at the idea.
Could just go for Moore on loan he's buddies with with Wood.
Think Murphy and Sharp swap and cash will be next up.
Seems logical as a striker to come in for one to go out.
is Murphy quick? never seen him play.
Barton would be a cracking signing
--------------------------------------------------------
Regardless of his "baggage" he'd be ideal in our midfield to provide a wealth of experience and know how to our very young players. Great signing if we can get him - he'll be a crowd favourite quickly as he'll play for the club I've no doubt.
LIW
The kid has it in him, he can score goals when he feels part of the club.
Hopefully we can give him that and watch him flourish.
I agree on Barton....would give us something we've been missing since around 2002/3...a hard midfielder with quality in his feet, who puts a bit of doubt in to the opposition midfield.
I don't like Barton, think he's a right so and so, but footballing-wise, he's what we need
Whoever this Central Midfielder is, they need to be an experienced championship general. Who has talent, bite and know how and can help develop cook etc.
Joey fits the bill perfectly.
Such a big signing whoever it is.

I'm sure a lot of our players past, present or future were/are/will be bellends but if they're doing their job well I couldn't give 2 fecks.
I'm a bit of a unt myself like.

Positive moves...!
With more to come hopefully.
At this rate we'll be strapping ourselves in for a hell of a ride this season.
And to think it was only the other day Derby were leaving us behind...?
