Same with MGS.
GTA 5 I found bland.
FF9 took its toll on me too after I completed 7 and 8. and then 10.
For me its as I said before Metal Gear played a little bit of the first one but i somehow preferred Syphon Filter at the time ( i think i was playing Swat 3 and Rainbox 6 on pc at the times aswell) played a little of 2 aswell to see if it was just a one off .. same again the only one i really played was Guns of the patriot and it played well and looked stunning but never really gaev me the fizz (i am also looking forward to the MGS5 however) The other was assasin creed, game got very boring very quick for me first one i enjoyed the 2 i got bored about half way thro AC3 i was bored with straight away and the same with Unity just there (i understand the love but too "Ubisoft" for me .. i mean repetitive lol.and as i said the Uncharted series yeah i played em a dn i thoguth they were good but that was it just good nothing spectacular. Finally the other two came from Xbox and they are Halo (bog standard FPS to me with a half decent story but nothing i hadbt seen 20 times before) and Gears of War again bog standard shooter with a decent story but nothin new or ground breaking ... i felt very underwhelmed when playing these.... And one last one not a series but its massive , Minecraft iv got it and played it a bit my mates have played it tonnes but its very "meh" to me. Just dont get it at all .... i thought it was suppsed to be a complete sandbox but u are still very limited to what you can do i thought for the way it looked that content with be insane but doesnt seem to be the case. (much prefer Hank and Jeds "Mob Squad" haha)
adding to Nick i thought GTA 5 looked awesome, played awesome so smooth and enjoyable, lacked majorly in content if you back and see the content/side missions/upgrades, customising/map you got in Vice City/San Andreas its poor in comparison. However i will state that i only played it on PS3 and now know that its really a PS4 title so thanks for conning me there Rockstar ! shocking that they make people pay for the same game again should be able to DL that for free or for a discount if you got same game on PS3 double especially as it was hinted that it was for PS3 only in the build up to release (as far as im aware) and funnily enough all the patches and fixes and additional content was done for the PS4 release .... funny that eh !
Del i appreciate your comments but did you come late to the m$ party? I just ask as both Halo and Gears were pretty much ground breaking for their first games and you wouldnt have seen that stuff prior (yes FPS you would but Halo upped the whole AI enemies and having more freedom in the battle zone). I fully agree though coming to Gears and Halo V is it with both now we have quite literally seen it all before
jesus sorry delboy, I meant GTA 4
absolutely loved GTA 5 bought it for both consoles
Yeah Simon the first Xbox i had was a 360 never owned the original. Played the 360 a massive amount (had it flashed) but the envitble happened and i was banned (ironically i never played copied online games only single player but my bro played online COD a week before it came out) I say it was Microsofts loss as I bought a PS and EASILY pumped about £2k+ into Sony pockets over the time i had it.
By the time i got onto Halo the only thing that i made me play it was co-op story.
Nick GTA 4 i hated ... BORING ! lol i can still remember the look on my face as i started the game and u take the chick to the bowling ... then back home .. thats it... no gang interuptions .. no jump in the back of my car, and instantly had that feeling ... i was right... The more GTA ventured away from the craziness the less i enjoyed it .... the market agreed with me cos Saints Row really took off when GTA became more serious.
the thing that really irked me about GTA5 was they kept goin on about how much bigger the map was .... and yes technically it is the biggest however very convieniently stuck a sea on one side and desert on the other that people only use a cpl of times .... 95% of your time is spent is the city that is small in comparison to other GTA's
Gta 5 was weird, with the checkpoints on the missions. I get some of them were longer, but I do miss my you'll of frustration after realising I have to redo an entire mission because I died from my own explosion
But yeh loved GTA V.......well maybe more to the truth is i loved the idea, i just didnt find it so compelling, amazingly good fun but nothing really to keep me hooked. Had just as much fun doing random shiiz as the missions, many drunken hour doing random "missions" me and my friend invented
thinks thats half the joy simon. Just roaming doing crazy stuff
Resi 4 was the best of the series and in my opinion one of the best games ever.
It was also the last good game of the series
Everytime I see new Resi game on the horizon my heart leaps a little bit before I remind myself that all Resi games since 4 have been woeful and this one is unlikely to be different.
I've still not bought GTA V after the massive disappointments that were GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption. I'm waiting for it to come down to about a tenner... it's taking a while.
I've never got into Call of Duty on consoles. I just don't understand how anyone can aim accurately with a stick.
Bought the first two Batman games and couldn't really get into either of those. Thought the open world of the second one might help, but nope.
Played the Uncharted demo too, and it's another one that's a mystery to me why it's so popular.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Resi stopped being a survival horror game once it done that it was never the same ... no more of an action game than a horror .... they moved further and further from the original story as well...... real pity
Oooh one more the Sims was great when it came out then Corporate Commander destroyed any chance it had !!
I also couldn't get in to the MGS series. I know that there were really good storylines somewhere within them but it just didn't do it for me. The same thing applied to Splinter Cell as well.
I have always enjoyed FPS games but Halo was another game I just thought was so bland.
Last but not least, FIFA is right up there as games that have no interest to me. I used to enjoy PES but FIFA is as dull as ditchwater. And what makes it worse is my mates love FIFA and that's the only game they'll play before heading off for a night out. I'd rather have a game of chess if I'm honest.
And my final franchise that never got me was WoW.... I have little time for games that dont reward skill and in turn reward those with the most time on their hands. Never normally liked games that dont have an objective or a stick that you can measure how well you have done or how good you are.

You missed out big time - wow fulls under a game i fell out of love with. Vanilla wow was amazing and hard and required skill, today as long as you log in its free loot for everybody - like so many games it was toned down for casuals.

h i came into the game about the 2nd/3rd expansion pack...A lot of my mates had been playing since it came out ... but all i did in that game was spend 20 mins walking toa point holding the no 2 button or whatever for 30 secs then walking all the way back to town and repeating ... I can actually see the appeal and no-one likes horde-ing equipment and gear than i do (point blank refuse to sell or drop anything in Elders Scrolls games lol !)
Never got into Final Fantasy.
I love GTA V and thought Vice City was incredible, but for some reason San Andreas never did it for me, same with 4 but for more obvious reasons.
COD wore thin on me, I think a mix of the games getting worse and samey and me growing up.
Otherwise I used to love Assassins Creed - the scenery of Renaissance Italy alongside a charismatic lead character who was easy to get behind and missions that felt like you could complete them how you wanted them. AC2 and Brotherhood were brilliant, Revelations was OK but nice to finish Ezios story. I loved them and could play them over and over, but none of the games since that have done it for me
Oh and eventually moving away from PES to Fifa... A sad day

Sorry - I know its a highly rated....its just weren't for me
Lol i didnt read /games. Was only thinking series. My list is so much bigger. Be back in a while.
Last of Us, agreed
RtM - just couldn't get along with it. Ran across a few glitches that really tainted my view of it and found the characters - particularly Marston - really unlikeable. Wasn't a huge fan of the mechanics either. The slow-mo shooting got a bit repetitive and having to constantly tap to make your horse run was an awful idea with such a huge map to traverse.
I did enjoy the hunting though. That was quite fun. The rest of the game was a big pile of bum.
