How have you been?

Selling either would be a bad idea. Cazorla won't be around for too many more seasons and with the likes of Arteta, Diaby, Rosicky and Flamini leaving either this year or next, keeping both Jack and Rambo doesn't look like too bad a move

Ups and downs, IAWT, ups and downs.

Hope you're doing well, fella

Cazorla and Coq were hardly rotated in 2015. Fatigue could set them up for long injury layoffs next season.

Carzola probably won't be a starter the season after next but if you assume we maintain the current formation then you have one playmaker spot and another DM spot leaving one spot for Jack & Aaron to compete for. Will either be happy sitting on the bench? They are both starters in my opinion at any of the top sides in the division.

Same here mate, but managing (just)!

Good to see you mate and hoping for more Ups than Down from now on.

Santis 31? This season will be his last as a starter and probably the last of his arsenal career. We'll be fine

Absolutely blinkered article. Player doesn't fit into the first so sell him.

With our injury problems you can guarantee we'll need all 3 of Santi Jack and Aaron in their favorite positions next season.

And what current formation? What the one with Ramsey playing Right midfield and Santi playing deep?

Of course Jack will get ample opportunity to start during the season. Santi is 30+ FFS.

While Sanchez is on the left one of Ramsey/Wilshere are more likely to start on the right than Ox/Walcott/Welbeck.

Wenger has always preferred playing an extra midfielder on one wing. Pires/Rosicky/Hleb/Nasri/Santi have all done it

Competition for places should be stiff, with everyone keen on international call-ups for Euro 2016.

Let them fight!

Absolute aborticle.

We need squad depth and options not to get rid of potentially excellent players because they arguably aren't ready to start in the same team.

What is wrong with you. Why would Wilshere not be bothered about a starting place. We need squad depth the one thing we've been crying out for. Everyone will get sufficient amounts of games. Atletico are going to pursue Cazorla. Hope we don't sell but if offer is big enough then probably will, but then that hits us hard on depth.

I guess one of Ramsey or Jack will play on the right which means the Ox won't be a starter next season which is a shame.

Both players would rather start on the right than not play at all

I said this coming season Jack won't be too fussed about a starting berth but would want to at least finish the entire season without hurting his ankles. Something RVP did before he flourished the following season after which he left us.

Ramsey may not be so patient as he made his feelings clear in the press about playing on the right!

In an ideal situation I would love to keep them both but both players are full internationals vital to their respective national teams. When fit and in form they start at all the top clubs in my opinion even Chelsea.

Probably once Wilshere is fit Wenger will find a way to fit them both into the team.

All three have woeful injury records. We have enough trouble as it is, trying to squeeze out 20 appearances from any of them. The perfect squad players IMO.
You can also add Walcott to the list.

Ox if he manages to remain injury-ree will eventually displace whoever is playing on the right, specially Ramsey who is blunt while playing on the right, while Wilshere's drive works for him but still out of this place on the right.

some idiot posters here, I did say if we maintain the current formation it does limit their chances of becoming regular starters.

I think eventually Wenger will find a way to fit in both players and Ozil maybe moved to the flank to accommodate both once Santi leaves or is relegated to the bench. That means Sanchez moves to the right.

It's really not an issue for the coming season as most players have to prove their fitness but it could potentially become an issue.

Competition is the key over a long season. That keeps everyone fit and motivated. Players fighting for their place in the first team is good. If we wont to compete we need to bring players in, not sell them.

We have reportedly made official enquiry for Pedro along with Liverpool. If it's true I wonder where Wenger plans to play him.

posted on 4/7/15

This is bullshiiiit rumour B10 because Pedro sign a new contract at Barca recently.

I can appreciate why this article hasn't been well received, but I can see where the OP is coming from.

I don't really like the thought of selling any of them, since they're all such talented players, but it's hard to see how we can fit them all in in central positions.

Of course, it's important to have squad depth. but we're essentially talking about 4 players competing for two positions if we assume they want to play in central positions and none can play the DM role. If we play, say, 50 games next season, then one of them is going to be resigned to starting less than 20 games (unless they all make 25 starts each, or something to that effect) - injuries may reduce the amount of time some of the players are available to play, but telling a player that they and/or their competition are likely a lot to get injured isn't a great selling point.

I think the most likely solution, as Ramboue points out, is playing Ramsey and/or Wilshere down the wing. I'm personally not keen on this, but Wenger seemed to be moulding both of them to play this role at the tail-end of last season.

There's also the chance that Wenger may try the Wilshere-Ramsey deep-lying midfield combination again when Coquelin gets injured - although this would entail Ramsey playing a more disciplined role, since I can't see Wilshere single-handedly breaking down opposition counter-attacks.

Interesting to see how it pans out, but I'm still a little uneasy about the thought of going into the new season without proper understudy for Coquelin.

@DaStuDogg (U9291)

We are in the position not to sell our best players. Knowing our injury list every single season that kept us away from competing we should be thankful that we have a big squad. Every single player will get enough playing time, believe me.

I agree that we're no longer in a position where we have to sell, which is great.
My concern is that we may not be able to keep all of them happy with their game-time (if played centrally, that is).
I appreciate that we may suffer a lot of injuries, but I can't imagine many players would be too happy to be given first-team assurances predicated on the idea that their competitors will spend large portions of the season injured - not to mention the thought that they too will likely be injured.
