Guv knows the true value of Lewis but I think he/she is just out to wind people up on this thread.
Guv knows more than Bernie who himself is a fan of Lewis.
Guv knows more than the Merc management team who pays Lewis 3 times what they pay Rosberg to drive the same car.
Guv knows best.
All heil the Guv.

Rooney is not even popular in Manchester ffs
come the end of their careers there wont be much in it at all infact i think lewis wil prob earn more in his career ... a lot of it wil depend on floyds last 2 fights. I think and these are very rough calcs and only since he has been in F1 but i make it he has earned roughly £200m so just over $300m not including the new deal he has just signed so that wil take him to roughly $470 for his career with prob one more contract to be signed 2 at the most ..... stupid money !! Anyone else notice also that Hamilton painted his private jet a big bright ferrari red ...... hmmm... wonder when ferrari will compensate Vettel for his no1 driver clause .........
infact both their contracts run out at the same time ..... driver swap in 3 yrs ?

You can't rule anything out in F1.
This scenario would definitely generate a lot of interest in the sport especially for the 1st season.
I personally would like to see Lewis drive for Williams at some point but the Ferrari links are starting to gather momentum.
Italians are asking Ferrari when Lewis is going to drive for them

Really?
If that is true, then Ferrari won't mind breaking the bank just to get him.
Lewis is box office. Not just for himself but also for his team mate. Many of those supporting Rosberg now would switch their allegiance to the next team mate of Lewis and continue from where they stopped a la Rosberg.
I would much rather Lewis drove for Williams than Ferrari if and when he leaves Mercedes if the Williams can remain competitive

It depends although if this were to happen in 3-5 year's time when Lewis is in the latter stages of his career, maybe his main motivation won't be money (would he need any more by then?) but to remain in F1 so if a seat was available at Williams he might take a pay cut to drive for them
Lewis main preference when negotiating a new deal will be 1 thing and one thing only same as when he went to Merc. Whether he believes if that team he is in negotiations with will deliver him a WDC. Lewis knew the money Merc were about to throw at their cars and it was the basis of his decision for going to Merc by all accounts Mclaren offered Lewis more to stay before he went to Merc. It was the potential of the car/stroke team he looked at then not the money

Arise Sir Hamilton
You have shown us you do not need the EBD or its variants to be a world champion
There is a story that tells that for 2013 McLaren offered Hamilton the same money he got in 2012 but with a reduction to cover the cost of his engines(!) which McLaren now had to pay for and would be £10M for both drivers. Hamilton was on £13M a year so McLaren offered him £8M, initially. Hamilton was outraged but didn't let on and said he would think about it. Mercedes had offered him the money he was getting at McLaren and he went to them and agreed to drive for them the following year without letting McLaren know he had other offers. (for 2013).
The first McLaren knew that they had lost him was when Eddie Jordan announced it during BBC coverage of the Italian Grand Prix.
It would be easy to assume that Mercedes knew that McLaren would make Hamilton a reduced offer because it may have been mentioned by McLaren during their negotiating the price of engines and played a blinder, but that would only be supposition.
I am pretty sure that I remember Martin Whitmarsh not even being aware that Hamilton had been signed by Mercedes and thinking McLaren and Hamilton were still in negotiations even when everybody else knew they were not.
Whether or not the story above is true I do not know but either way, thank God he left McLaren. What a waste of talent, for their present drivers too.
Sadly McLaren have become the "Squanderer of Seasons".
