The plural of Morpheus is morphei not morpheus's
Since I started on Morpheus my thoughts are simple, VR will take off whether that is Morpheus, Occulus, Vive or any other device, the tech has grown up enough to become mainstream, it may take a while to find traction but VR is here to stay and will go from strength to strength.
No Mans Sky is a game with huge ambition and if they pull it off could be one of those games that hooks players for a very long time, it could be quite niche but those that enjoy the game will certainly get their moneys worth, I'm buying it and I have said it before could be a perfect fit for Morpheus.
The Division from what I have seen looks very promising, I know Delboys guts are telling him different and Ubisoft have let themselves down recently, but they are a studio with Pedigree and my guts say it will be well worth playing.
I could keep going as there is plenty on the way but I will mention Until Dawn as it is very near release now, this is my sort of game and looks very well done, it may not be for everyone but thats what I like about Sony their games are diverse and cater for more than just the shooter crowd, this is definitley on my radar.

It will be an under the radar game that will be a huge success. The "big games" are just hype trying to sell machines until something of real quality comes out.
Big movie budget games are killing the quality of gaming imo. Sucking the soul outta them.
RtM you can't ignore the big franchises their success is built on solid foundations (for the most part)
As for under the radar games you could be right, Demon Souls took everyone by surprise last gen and who knows what the next one could be, a few possibilities come to mind
To be honest Amiga i think i pretty much agree with every point you have down. VR potentially has so much to offer, it will be interesting how it is pushed but youre right there is so much being pumped into VR that it cant fail. Hololens on the other end will fail..........as a gaming device initially, but will be picked up in its latter iterations mainly in design and a few other businesses, and may in the long run sell more units as the tech gets cheaper.
The Division looks amazing.........but yeh with Ubi and their current record we need to be careful, think i will wait to getting this.
No man sky I just need to remember it isnt a triple A title
Another I am pretty interested with is Fire Watch, such an interesting title, and really hope that it doesnt fail
Agree about Hololens, MS themselves have said it won't come cheap and will not initially be a gaming device, to me it is MS following Mac's lead with their Iglasses, and from what I have seen hololens potential for gaming is limited.
No Mans Sky will obviously be rubbish. It was started by like 4 guys and has only grown because of the tag line around it being an infinite universe or whatever, as if that is some kind of achievement - I could do the same thing in Excel.
Star Wars Battlefront is the one for me. Looks great, little bit disappointed about some of the limitations I've heard about but still will be one of the GOTYs for sure
Chris just because No Mans Sky has a small team of developers does't mean it will be rubbish, one of the most successful games of recent times is Minecraft built by a team no bigger.
Star Wars Battlefront is a good looking game and has potential, but game of the year will go elsewhere.
From everyone I know there is ZERO interest in VR. Not sure anyone thinks it will be a success. It will be the new Sega CD.
There are also huge franchises that have been built on crap as well dont forget. Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, FIFA, Madden etc to name a few
Sorry RtM dude you're wrong, too much money being pumped in there with too much support. VR ain't going anywhere and it is the next big thing, quite frankly as there is no where else to go. If affordable it adds a whole new dimension and removes the need for things like multiple monitor displays etc which have become ever more popular.
Fallout 4 will be awesome
My opinion cant be wrong
We will see, mystic meg
From everyone I know there is ZERO interest in VR.
That is an interesting comment RtM, in many ways that is a correct statement, but a lot of naysayers have changed their minds once they have experienced what VR has to offer,
To truly understand what VR is you really have to experience it, the money being invested in VR is being invested for a reason, there are many people seeing what VR has to offer not just in gaming but many other areas too.
Well you are aware that vr is being developed by Sony, Facebook, Samsung, Google and HTC to name but a few, and without sounding mean I trust more professionals in the video game industry than your friends......
Come on I get what you're saying but you're acting as if a well funded product has never failed.
Name some that have at this scale we are talking billions of investment from all the big boys in technology.......
RtM the thing that Differs with VR is that more than one company is developing it, Google would not spend the sort of money they did if they didnt recognise it's potential.
VR will happen, whether it's this gen or the next it will not go away.
I figured smart phone gaming would go away as well so maybe it will stick around
Fack me those games are awful
MySpace? Lol. A website that gained a little notoriety, not anywhere near the bracket we are talking about. We are talking ALL the big players in technology spending billions with already so many games in development for these systems.
Myspace didnt fail, it was just superseded by something better, namely Facebook
If Morpheus is superseded by a better VR experience it will still be VR
when I saw ya'll talking about morpheous I thought a new matrix game was coming out
Simon i was joking because its a silly question when this amount of money was unthinkable in the past and companies like these either werent around or not involved in gaming.
Now I notice you both arent referring to it as VR gaming but VR alone. Are you not as confident that the gaming will succeed but the tech will? If thats the case I would probably agree.
can someone explain to me what no mans sky is suppose to be
