Fair to say he won't go down as a fan favourite.

Di Maria: "I'm happy to join PSG. I'll work as hard as I have at former clubs."

I like his banter with this quote

To be fair he never wanted to come to United

Psg was always his preferred option

The scheming little rat. Can't believe i altered my username at the start of last season to 'honour' him as our number 7. Disrepecting our legendary number 7 shirt.

Anyway it's good riddance that he's gone. He didn't want to be here in the first place, so £45 million approx is still good business from our end.

Real pity it didn't work out. Did anyone expect him to be gone within a year after we signed him?!

Hope we get them in the CL now

Before all of this AWOL malarky i was kinda confident that the club would keep him for one more season to see him shine considering the record breaking amount we spent on him. But due to his disrespectful behaviour, then we're better off without him.

I wanted him gone after fa cup game and LVG saw it confirmed after he came on as sub against west brom, how wasteful can a player that cost us £59.7m I could have put in a better cross then Di Maria managed in that game

I wonder what the Glazers think about all this ADM ordeal?

doubt they even know who he is

They probably thought he was a hot female Latin supermodel, that's the only reason why i can see them handing over £60 million to Ed and LVG. The spare change was for a cab back up to Manchester

Glad he's gone, but I have a feeling he'll do well in the 4-3-3 system PSG play.

I hope we get them in the CL, stuff them and Jonsey messes him up.

Big question is, will we get a replacement and if so, will it be before Saturday (unlikely), or before the CL qualifier maybe? Or will there be a TDD surprise?

Not sure if Pedro will come or not, media think it's done, Barca suggesting they want to keep him

I reckon Pedro will be signed before the weekend

Wish him the best.

Hope we reinvest the money into a good player.

How are Barca going to convince Pedro to stay when they have the best attacking front three in the world?

What an absolute fairy.

Can't hack the physicality of the league and the hostile atmosphere after one flipping season, so decides to make a big money move to a league which isn't as competitive and is played at a slower tempo.

If Ozil did this with us after his mixed first season, I would be very annoyed with him. Di Maria has taken the easy way out.

No bottle... fook him ! Looks like a skeleton too !!

Up till February there was about 5 teams in the running for the French league, . There wasn't a great deal of difference between what Chelsea and PSG points gaps to second places in their leagues. French league is plenty competitive

And it's not about not being able to hack it either. He didn't want to be here. Paris was always his first choice. Annoying to have lost £15mil on him however.

But pedro will hopefully fair far better.

a wimp to be sure, I'm happier with Memphis, he's going to be a stud. Adios Mootha Felccha!

Have we lost 15m on him though? He is a year older and has a year less on his contract. I think that PSG have more or less paid his 'book price' as I believe Ripley's Cat put it.

Hes only 27 and cost 60 mil. He hasnt got any worse physically, i know we drastically over paid for him and have got closer to what his actual worth is, but yes in my book weve lost 15 mil.

I don't think that it matters that he is only 27. That is another year that he can't play for you. I'd say that we have lost some money in terms of his value, but not £15m. Probably more like £5m. Which isn't bad considering how badly he wanted out and the fact he hadn't had a good season.

It isn't as high as that given the exchange rates at the time & what they are now.

We bought him for £59.7m (74.625 euros at the time)
Sold him for £44m (63m euros)

So the loss was 11.6m euros, £8m at todays exchange rate. It's not great but not as high as people have made out.

Given most transfers across Europe will be done in euros, it will have been kept in a euro account.
