Have you ever watched MMA? most the fights are people on the floor trying to get into mounts and submission moves. Just because you've seen a Ronda Rousey fight recently don't go OTT.

As for boxing doesnt draw in the crowds, I was at wembley with 100,000 others last year for Groves v Froch, and went to the one before, and both were fantastic spectacles
There is groves, brook, degale, fury, fury, joshua and a few others and thats just britain.

How many MMA fighters can you name?

MMA is a niche sport that takes the spill over from boxing and the fans that don't understand the skill that is involved in boxing (esp when it comes to the likes of Mayweather)

There are a few things boxing could learn from it though, one being to have some tougher match ups (although wouldn't class Rousey in this as read quite a bit on the actual state of woman's MMA, good on her for making the most of it though.)

Unfortunately I think that a big scandal in UFC would finish it completely.

Watched Paulie Malignaggi vs Danny Garcia the other night and what a let down. The ref stepped in, what a pusssy, Malignaggi only got hit by baby punches with massive gloves on and was struggling. Get him in there with a UFC fighter, he'd get mauled.

Want finesse? Watch TJ Dillashaw

Yeah but all them 30 sec Rousey fights are amazing, not to mention the ones where they jump on them and lay there for 2 minutes Yaaaaaaaaaaawn.

Both sports have their place, I used to watch MMA when it involved more striking but quickly got bored of the constant hugging styles. (Can appreciate what they do but it ain't my kind of thing) think it's starting to go down the WWE route of trying to force characters onto people though.

I understand the skill involved in boxing you tool. Floyd provided a masterclass against an elite fighter like Pacquiao. It just shows how much higher he is than elite. He's a once in a lifetime fighter. TBE.

Watch Cerrone and the boxing fans will know what they're missing out on.

No you don't Tiki, that's the point. If you did you wouldn't even be trying to compare the 2.

'Oh look, both involve hitting they must be the same' <Doh>

Stick a couple of decent fighters/fights up RTM and i'll check them out when i've got the time

The copout of "theres too much hugging" is old. This hardly ever happens now.
