I hope nobody would be happy with a draw. Villa are garbage and lost their two best players.

if they unleash that Ruddi Gestede fella you might struggle, hes a beast in air

Especially if Blind plays cb.

Hoping for a win. We don't want a slow start to the season like last time round.

I can't see LVG changing much, if anything, after just one game, although I'd like to see Memphis out wide.

I'm going for a 2-1 win.

United will win and should expect to

Another ugly scruffy win I reckon for us.

I agree - we should be expecting to win this and win it comfortably. Looking forward to the press conference at 14:45 (I think it is?) to see if there are any clues as to changes that may be made after Saturday's performance.

Still early days in the season but a win would be great

Got a feeling we could be the laughing stock of the weekend as oppose to Arsenal last week. Would take an ugly win if it meant fitness levels increase and we are ready for Brugge.

I had that feeling before most games last season! Trying to feel confident this time around though...

I expect nothing but 3 points off Villa. They're not even in Stokes league.

I think score draw, they are a different team under Sherwood.

Although you do have a great record there. Still can't get my head round Friday might kickoff for prem game, seems strange.

I couldn't get a ticket for Utd section so sat in with the Villa fans in the next enclosure. Fight twenty mins in and a broken jaw for one guy I heard.
They were clamping down on away fans going in Villa sections, needed some proof of Villa booking history.

I was going to go along with my Villa supporting mate. He said last season the home end was full of Utd fans who realised their mistake when found out.

Not really worth the risk, and at £45 a ticket I'd rather watch at home.

BTW, I wouldn't be surprised to see us drop points. Villa have a feel good factor about them atm and have made some good signings.

It's their first home game of the season too. I'm saying 1-0 either way.

We certainly shouldn't be happy with anything less than a win but I think we need to play a lot better than we did on Saturday, when we were fortunate to win

If we have title aspirations we should be going to teams like Villa and winning.

I noticed the other day that Ron Vaar is a free agent, i thought he was supposed to be a beast of a centre back who we were interested in?

As anyone tried buying away tickets at the ground from touts? Or are there people kocking around who have a spare (long shot i know) like many at OT on a match day.

Can see a draw myself too Busby. Villa have brought in 10 players and a few good ones. Richards at CB could be interesting and Sinclair will do well for them.
If we can create we will win but I get the feeling we are going to struggle again this season for goals due to lack of creativity.

I do every year at Villa an fit gets harder and harder and more and more expensive. £130 quoted already by a ST at United who has connections.
Last season it wan't a question of price there just were not any spares at all.
One season I got Lucky as overheard a telephone conversation, a guy was meeting mates stuck in a jam on M6 so he sold their tickets and I got lucky.
I wouldn't bother unless you are prepared to sit in amongst Villa fans and keep quiet. If you don't they chuck you out !!

This is the thing I never quite understand; over the last few seasons. Why can we not 'create'? Remember a few seasons back, every time we were on the counter-attack or just pressing up field, we looked like we were going to prize open a chance.
Now, we can almost be in the opposition penalty area and I still don't feel that we are going to threaten the goal.
I know we've had a lot of change in personnel (both on the pitch and off it) but still - I see more chances created by far lower teams than ours. Just annoys me as I'm sure it does to a lot of you fellow Reds...

We should be looking at a minumum of a 2 goal win.

No Money - you answered your own question. A lot of the players we have need space in which to make chances, so the counter attack suited us well.

We've never played this style of footballer before so it will take the players a while to fully understand the system. The hardest thing in football is breaking down a 10 man defence.

Busby: True mate - just mulling it all over really. Hope we get to see it again soon, that's for sure.

You will win. Villa weren't good against Bournemouth either.
