Both goals were Cech's fault, I would say the second was entirely his, the first was incredibly poor defending from a set play as well

The team imo should be:

Cech
Debuchy, Per, Kos, Monreal
Coq, Cazorla,
Ramsey, Ozil, Alexis,
Theo.

People love pace because of FIFA.

I'm not always concerned when we don't have pace. But what concerns me is that often when we don't have pace in the team we don't move the bal fast enough. We just do slow passes round the box. Don't mind having less pace if we can keep the ball moving fast, but quite often we don't. So we need a pacey direct player to spread the play out.

Not sure why Wenger never trying the combination of Giroud and Theo Walcott? We werent less predictable because both players have different abilities and the defense couldnt concentrate of only one player.

We have a brilliantly balanced team

And two explosive players on the bench

Seems fine to me?

Good to see not everybody is duped by pace. I think there's plenty of balance to the side (minus Ramsey), the only way we lose is if we bottle it.

Can't see Wenger ever using 4-4-2 again. We don't have the wingers to do it properly either.

Another poor unbalanced team selection. We might well win today but it will be in spite of this team selection not because of it.

So he is also responsible for our refusal (yes that is what that was) to close down and just watch Zarate take a free shot on goal.

I would also give Cech more of the benefit of the doubt on the first goal we conceded last week than the second. When you spend 10 years defending set pieces a particular way it must be difficult to adjust to how another side does it, especial seeing as we always seem to hold a ridiculously high line.

Hey pace is very important

A team full of maestros with no pacy runners in behind is a waste

Bellerin is first choice for us - straight into the side back from a muscle injury - for the pace and width he offers on the right. Wenger sees it and I see it. It's clear.

Pace.

Actually more confident playing palace away, especially after the last result.

Yeah....agree with both of you Digby and Ron. Would leave us exposed especially against Palace who are playing with wings.

But in other game we should just try it.

Depends if there is space for the fast players to run into, if there's not then the pace is facking useless
