So relieved.... but really need to finish off these kind of games. We make our lives too difficult.

Need to take our chances. Not ruthless enough. Should improve a bit when Sanchez is sharper. Defence still a but shaky, but improved in second.

Ozil and cazorla were much improved. Overall we deserved to win, and was a good response. Still room for improvement, of course

Just wish Giroud would take greater responsibility for making things happen. Though occasionally effective, far too often his 'trademark' layoffs seem more like passing the buck, rather than anything else.

I know GT. Hopefully that will come as the season progressess. We really should have put the game to bed though.

Agreed, Giroud needs to take responsibility for holding the ball up every now and then. Even if it's only to make it less predictable when he tries the flicks.

On the other hand he helps us a lot defensively. No other offensive player fight as hard as he does allthough of course its not his first responsibility to defend. Away from home when you get under pressure its very useful to have him to bring this sort of games over the line.

Great result though, and I'm very happy. Palace are looking like they have the makings of a very decent side there.

yeah not easy to win there. Some teams will struggle there and hopefully leave points there.

Yeah, Gt, Giroud helped out a few times at the other end today.

I agree, although our players always play it in to him and try to make runs off him, so the temptation is always there for him to try something. Now whether they do that cos they know he's going to try it anyway I don't know. Presumably the manager is happy with it and considers it part of our attacking play.
