Ledley, never denied it mate and have also come on since then and said what a disappontment he has been. If any Spurs fan including chronic tells everyone they didn't get excited when Spurs were signing all these players then they are talking a load of ***. No one knew we would be buying a bunch of duds

Nobody knew they'd be duds when we bought them Don (Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue....). They'd all impressed at their previous clubs, but buying so many players at once from foreign leagues, to play in a system that didn't suit all of them was doomed to failure. I'd like to think I know a fair amount about football whilst not having the knowledge of someone like Hoddle, SAF or Lippi. However if I could see that trying to fit 7 signings into a new team was going to fail, how the fack did AVB and Baldini not?
That's what I'm saying ledley no one knew they would be awful. Everyone was excited about the prospect of Lamela and soldado

We can't do anything about 2013 now apart from learn from it. Doesn't mean we should never buy from abroad if they cost more than £15m, just basic stuff like not expecting them all to play at the same time.
if we are only average weare, then why do we keep coming top 6? I would have thought that average sides would be in the middle of the league.
the truth is that we are actually above average, and whilst there are clear areas of improvement needing, some of the doom and gloom on here, along with how many people are totally out of touch with reality, is embarrassing.
you are one of the main culprits, and until you realise that its no longer 1984 then nothing will change.

Do you think it's acceptable playing 2 games already this season with just 1 recognisable striker in a squad of 25???

Don
No I dont think its acceptable but I dont necessarily believe Levy is to blame either.
One of our strikers (Adebayor) must be one of the worst signings ever. His attitude stinks so who signed him? Levy provided the money but Harry wanted him. He was available but rightly so Poch has chosen to out him.
When you were young your parents undoubtedly gave you pocket money if you wasted it was it their fault?
Levy provides the money (something he has supplied a hell of a lot of I might add). The managers/ coaches/ DOF's spend it.
They have spent it badly extremely badly is some cases yet somehow you blame Levy? That baffles me. Not so long ago we Had Keane, Berbs and Defoe in our squad and a crap defence so what did we do? We went and signed Darren Bent ffs. A player that cost a fortune was nothing special and was not needed at the time. Was that Levy's fault? No he backed the manager with cash like he has so many times in the past.
Losing Kane was not the cause of the draw with Stoke it was down to the manager and the players. Before Kane even went off they were tearing us to pieces and there was no doubt in my mind what would happen before Kane left the pitch.
I am not a Danny Rose fan but I do know he is a far better player than Davis so why has he not been on the pitch so far?
Why did we even buy Trippier? If he cant get in the side because of Walker then he really was a waste of money.
Why you constantly blame Levy baffles me I personally would have a very good look at our managers, DOF's and our scouting system for finding and buying crap players who are simply not good enough.
Yes we leave things late and yes we have to look for bargain buys is it Levy's fault that we cant compete finanically with city, chelsea and utd?
Levy is a Spurs fan and like us I expect he would love to be signing the likes of Messi and Ronaldo but unfortunately Don he lives in the real world I think its about time you joined him and realised that we cant afford those transfer fees or those wages its that simple.

I don't expect messi and Ronaldo grandspur. When have I ever been unrealistic like that? What I expect is a team prepared for the season and not have to rely on Harry bloody Kane as our only striker. If the pressure is not already on our Harry enough we then make it worse by giving him no support whatsoever upfront. 3 games in grandspur and still no striker. Who's fault is that???? Pochetino?!? I'm not saying levy is to blame for everything but he is certainly to blame for this ridiculous striker situation
