I thought he was terrific and he deserved better than what he had in front of him.

are you joking ?

he was at fault for all 3 goals

thought the keeper made a few good stops, but terrific would be pushing it tbh, especially when you lose 3 goals.

wasn't a great game tbh, good to see the griff continue his scoring run.

Was one of those games that was never in doubt really. Always expect an onslaught at Tannadice when Utd shoot down that end but looks like the confidence and quality has severely gone at the club.

O'Connell actually played well for us, strolled it. Commons was excellent and good cameo from Allan, encouraging signs there.

Your keeper has been your best player all season Dixon looks done, you had zero threat middle to front. Souttar was his usual flatter to deceive self. The only lad that looked a bit dangerous was Connolly when he came on. At least he is direct.

Collum continues his penalty giving streak, without fail every game It was a stonewaller though

we should give them back cifcti

same money, no harm in it.

take him ivan

we'll throw in stokes, who did nothing at the weekend but remind me of his immense guffness

Sorry Ivan , I thought you were talking about the big dunderheed at centre half

Nobody is going to buy Stokes, we'll have to punt him out on loan to someone who will take him and subsidise the wage.

What did you make of Allan when he came on? Played well I thought, just maybe needs to get fitter.

Allan picked out a few lovely passes when he came on, and looked decent in the few minutes he had on the pitch.

His reverse pass into Stokes was great... all Stokes had to do was square it for 4-1... but he didn't... cos he couldn't control it... cos he's a diick

Ah, Anthony Stokes summed up in very few but truthful words.

An utter bawhum who I wouldn't ask to fill in if I was a man short at 5s

looked like he will find a killer ball rnr, which is good.

be interesting to see him with Griffiths.

Dundee Utd just aren't the threat or the worry the once were.

Yes our second string is still relatively strong in comparison to the rest of the Premiership but a decent team with a modicum of self belief would have attacked our makeshift defence.

I only seen a few minutes of the first half and all of the second half due to my kids football but in that time I seen Utd attack us once and win a penalty from it.

Ambrose the big diddy is heading back to me slating him every week. I stopped for quite a while as he was vastly improving.......

We are soulless. It's just depressing at the moment because we're so poor.

As for the investment, there has been money to spend and to say we aren't spending it is misleading - I'm pretty sure we still have the fourth or fifth largest budget in the league.

We gave Anier a 2 1/2 year deal and he's been bombed out after half a season. Nobody else will take him because of his wages.

We paid a transfer fee for Szromnik, who is third choice keeper now. And we don't pay transfer fees often.

Charlie Telfer was bought for £200k and barely starts.

Muirhead got a rare start on Saturday after being bought in January.

Dixon and McGowan were given deals in January and I doubt they were on peanuts.

Jackie can't be trusted to build a squad. This is his team now and he doesn't invest wisely.

go get Archibald

Ambrose is as good as a goal head start for the other team these days.

That attempt at a tackle was ridiculous, but the worst part was how square on he was to the boy running at him, he's made it so easy for him

Overall, we probably should have been 3 or 4 up at half time and 5 or 6 by full time but the most pleasing aspect was the fact we made 9 changes and still the team looked comfortable with the formation and knew what was expected of them, that's all down to hard work on the training ground

Griffiths played well in the first half again, long may this form continue

This
Said at the time , the reason he made the stupid tackle was he never angled his body right - as you say he was so square on he could only make the tackle or he was fcked - he hadnt given himself a chance really through his own stupidity

its so basic its actually impressive hes a pro footballer

Charlie doesn't start every week because in fairness he doesn't always deliver when he plays. However, I'd rather he learned the hard way by playing than sitting on the bench every week.

Muirhead apparently reported back overweight after the summer break. We're also heavily overloaded with strikers, which is odd given we only play 1 up front. Again, Jackie and his squad building.

We've also got the AWOL Sneijder who will be on a decent deal.

I think Griffiths is on 14 goals in 14 starts

Has there been any more news on the Sneijder story?

WTF

Seriously?

Maybe he signed for the wrong Dundee and isn't happy?

posted on 24/8/15

Not a peep has been heard about Sneijder and his "viral infection".

Nobody seems to have a clue when he'll be back, if he comes back at all.

Smid, it's the fact that money has been sent but our squad is so clearly imbalanced.

Our team fell apart last year because we were set up to play a counter attacking game and we sold our two quick players who suited that style.

Yet for some reason, and without noticeably changing our style, he hasn't bought any pacey players in the window. So now we don't have the pace to play the style he wants.

I just don't get what he's doing.
