Gabby was alright, would have been better with an experienced partner like Per though.
Coq did really well, 4 or 5 important tackles/interceptions. His weakness in possession was exposed at times though.
Cech pulled off two excellent saves and didn't look as shaky from crosses this week.
But I think Benteke would have helped us last night if we had signed him.
Agree with you Digby.

___________-
Not sure why you believe that because he had the clearest of all chances to score.
Agree with all of the points.
No clearer than Girouds, but it is not only about scoring. Benteke gave Liverpool an out ball even when we were on top. When the Scouse were on top Giroud was invisible. He has not got the movement or ability to run the channels in order to stretch the defence and give us an outball of which we can push the whole team forward.
Benteke won nearly everything in the air and you can't blame him for Cech making a fackin great save!
9 of 10 that's a goal!
You can blame him for giving Cech a chance, though KLS.
No clearer than Girouds
Really? Watch the hightlights on Arsenal.com again.
Not sure what you mean about Benteke's special moving because Liverpool as the away team has a different approach to the game. Benteke's and Liverpool in general benefit from our mistake in our own half in midfield and from our defense. Watch therefore the breakdown from Adrian Clarke on Arsenal.com.
I thought Chambers gave benteke most of his chances not Liverpool.
Liverpool played like the home team in the first half. Second half he gave Liverpool what Giroud didn't give Arsenal in the first.

Sure? I dont think that Liverpool create much on their own.
They played like the home team from the moment Chambers began to give the ball away. Before that we could have scored and looked the better side. When Liverpool hit the post for the first time it effected us and we were nervous and made even more mistakes.

Sorry but this is pure nonsense and dont reflect the dynamic of the game neither what happen on the pitch.
Chambers started giving the ball away from the first minute, and Coutinho hit the bar in the first 5 minutes.

??????????
The first half we were playing with 10 men, the ball was bouncing off Giroud when he actually made an effort to get it. Benteke's hold up play was far better and he actually runs around which helps a bit. We were the better team in the 2nd half but they still had their moments. For about 40 minutes in the first half it was one way traffic, we had no way out, Giroud did not offer us anything. I can promise now even with a fully fit squad for the entire season we will not come within 8 points of the eventual champions if Giroud is our first choice striker.
Your comment is not conclusive. You said it was 40 min one way traffic in the first half. If that is right and we gave the ball away in defense and midfield how on earth could OG offer us anything when we made our lives difficult in our own half? How can you shine when you hardly touched the ball?
Took me 55 mins to realise Giroud was playing.
Why the fluck we sold you Cech i will never know!
