Id rather lose to united looking like we could win, than win against bournemouth by virtue of an awful ref decision and carry absoloutley no threat for the rest of the game.

Mixed night.
1-1 is a decent result away, especially with several teenagers involved and he most experienced player going off injured, and we scored a lovely goal.
Downside, we didn't really look any better with 3 at the back as we have done with 4 in terms of attacking or defending really. We didn't play with much cohesion and the first half was painful.
The 2nd was better with more tempo from both sides, but we really don't create much and that is going to continue to be a problem for us unless we can find a way of playing that creates bread and butter chances.
Nobody was outstanding but Moreno and Sakho should start against Norwich and Lallana's goal surely nods him ahead of Firmino.
We have to play two up front this season if we are going to do anything worthwhile IMO.

This Bordeaux team are woeful to be fair. If we had played a better team we'd have lost tonight. It's a good point but not good enough of a performance.

The problem with winning games while playing poorly is that eventually things will balance out and you will start losing games, and its a long term loss..
if you are playing well you know the results will come.
Take our last three seasons, we have been vastly better in the second half, the first two seasons you could see we just needed a bit of luck and confidence, and our attacking play paid off.
last season we could tell we deserved the poor results, the only option was to tighten up and grind draws/1-0 wins.
45 minutes of this season we have performed well, it does not give ANY hope for the future.
1-0 ground out wins and 0-0 1-0 draws are not the liverpool way, and we cant pull it off.
id rather lose 3-2 and know we will come right at some point.
