Also, we tore arsenal apart in the first half, and that game should have been dead and buried by half time.

You were on top and had chances in the first half but Arsenal had chances in the second.

Anyway, there's a big difference between missed chances and a goal wrongly ruled out.

So you expected 9 points rather than 7.

Not so bad is it.
----------------------------

No it certainly could be worse, but the performances haven't exactly set the world alight, bar patches here and there. It leaves us crossing our fingers about getting a result in those up-coming difficult away games rather than going into them with confidence.

With those away games to come it becomes even more important to win our relatively easy home games by comparison, such as the West Ham game.

Losing home games like that put more pressure on us in having to amass points the hard way.

Why weren't West Ham fitter than Bournemouth and Leicester?
===================================
As I said on another thread, it would seem that early in the season, away teams playing deep, and looking to break, are reaping rewards, obviously as the home team, although I didnt see either of West Hams home games, I imagine they had to play more on the front foot, and maybe were undone by similar tactics that saw us taken apart at home by them.
Arsenal, Chelsea, and United have dropped points at home facing similar tactics.

Beat united and you guys will be tugging your maggots again, lots of reasons for yday but its the premier league. Disappointing but not a crisis.

We look below par in terms of creativity but l judge after a few months.

And what will you be doing if you lose to United?

Its not a crisis when u get narrowly beaten at home, but we were smashed by West Ham and we,ve spent milllions. Plus we all know Lovren is shocking and he is still picked

That very good Stoke side you beat, don't look very good at the moment

It would be a brilliant result to beat United but if we then lose the next game 3-0 at home, then what? One game won't decide it all. Having read Werner's comments again I am starting to think Rodgers is safe until May unless we are completely sheet.

That performance was reminiscent of most of last season, which is what worries me and is probably worrying most people, because it suggest Rodgers isn't learning.

We had warning of how West Ham would play since they executed the same game plan and won against a narrow Arsenal side, and we played and lost to another Bilic managed side in Besiktas last season who played similarly.

It's great to get points on the board, but it's silly to ignore performances as well. We haven't looked threatening at all barring the first half against Arsenal. I saw a stat somewhere that we've only scored more than one goal in one of our last 11 games, and that was a 2-1 win vs already relegated QPR.

We have kept three clean sheets, but it looks to me as though its due to packing bodies there and blunting the attack. Our defenders (except Clyne tbf) have still been making mistakes which suggests there is still lack of organisation. Even last season we kept a lot of clean sheets but still ended up conceding 48 goals. On the plus side we've looked much better against set pieces so far.

I want BR to turn it around and get us into the top 4 and build on it, but at the moment I can't see it. Little seems to be changing.
