Wenger loyalist will make the same excuses if we don't sign anyone.
No one available, can't compete with sugar daddies. Wait until jan. jan comes along and then there is no value in the market so wait until the summer.
same cycle ever season

No mate if we don't sign anyone I'll be pis sed off for a while then look forward to the season. Too much hype over new signings anyway which I get bored of so will be happy to see the window shut and focus on football.

Cavani is not worth the money
Morata isn't that great
Is higuain leaving?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Money isnt exactly an issue fof Arsenal currently especially as we've only spent 10m net this summer. Morata may not be world class but he's a young player and will improve and has more talent than our current options. Higuain won't move no if no-one puts in a good bid, as is usually the case....
We don't go public with our transfers, when will people learn, when was the last window we brought in only one player

We don't announce transfers till late
You cant say we don't get linked with players then not count any links
I think the Higuain boat sailed when he left Madrid for Napoli, we could have bought him for £30m but was d*cking around with our £40M +£1 bid for Suarez so missed out...again!
Napoli would want his buy out clause met which is in excess of £60m so it's a no-go.
Madrid operate differently from other clubs. It is not because a player doesn't want to leave that it means he will stay. Ozil and DiMaria are the perfect example.
Now, I'm not saying that Benzema (or any other player) will be sold but what a player wants usually means nothing other there.
Well there are links and there are links. Metro, the sun, goal, most of Twitter are bollox links. I don't include them. The Sun had Pogba to Chelsea as a done deal a week ago which says it all.

I agree but Benzema is a favourite of Perez plus there is not another striker out there that Madrid would consider WC that they can replace him with.
The papers don't have a clue they make up whatever they want, we keep our business quiet something that I like although it seems to drive the tabloid readers crazy.

We've clearly had some informal chat with Real 45 million is plenty and change, for Benzema. It's one thing to put in a substantial bid, it's another thing entirely to turn around pull your pants down and bend over and let Real stick it to you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We should've had more than one target but it seems like as usual it was all eggs in one basket so we've essentially pulled our own pants down by having sub standard strikers for a 4th season running. Which would you prefer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would prefer everyone stop moaning about a striker when for the last four seasons you speak of, it is goals against that has cost us, not goals for.
This "fix leaking goals with a striker who will score more" mentality that a bunch of fans have (some of whom are bright and wise enough to know better). Is getting a bit silly.
By all means do your nut if we haven't signed a midfielder who can defend and pass. But anyone who thinks it's more important to get upset over the striker, really can't see the forest for the trees.
A marquee striker is not the priority signing since he won't be able to win us the league without the midfielder issue addressed anyway. However the midfielder alone could see a big reduction in goals leaked plus a far more stable attacking platform, consistently getting the best out of the attackers we have.
Higuain in the telegraph
Cavani in the express
Lewandowski is a done deal to united according to sqwarka though

Bayern Munich will only sell a sack of potatoes this summer. Bookmark it.
The club are shooting themselves in the foot. Now my expectations are that they wont sign anyone and I will be very disappointed with that. If they sign anyone of a lower level I will also be disappointed and will probably jump on the WOB bandwagon which is sure to raise its head again. But if they sign a top striker like Cavani I will just think think its about time that they got a player they should have signed years ago.
So the club cant win and make me think they have puled off a great deal, unless maybe if hey get Messi or Ronaldo but I cant see that happening.

Well top strikers believe it or not can help a team defensively even if it's just by striking fear into the opposition and making them more cautious when attacking, thus making it easier to defend. Not saying that's going sort all the defensive leaks but it may help.
And we're not exactly jumping to sign defensive players either by the look of things, so whatever you think the priority is we still haven't sorted it out. Really we should've been going out and signing both, but failing that at least one should be being brought in. No excuses can be made there.
