"Too good to be true"
Exactly what I said on another thread. No doubt there will be comings and goings but probably not involve all the players mentioned.
id be happy with sammy and maloney out. in baba and bangura and a left back or a left sided defender
marv see it from our side, you look like you trying to sign two hungry young strikers. we look to be after the greek kris boyd with petted lip ,and you think you will be disapointed.
BBC now reporting £1M for Maloney, will be sorry to see him go as I feel things would have been better if he'd never left in the first place but he hasn't been the same since he returned.
"we look to be after the greek kris boyd with petted lip"
injury hit morbhoy.for what he is paid etc we could risk another player to replace him.
looks like maloney is defo off to wigan but its nearer 1mil
diawara deal looks almoast done fee agreed and terms agreed apparently
gone quiet on bangura and ridgwell but sameras deal could be done aswell with brian mcnally close to sunderland and says could be done today
Getting rid of Samaras for 2 or 3 million is just too good to be true. Maloney can leave. He's probably costing us a million a year in treatment fees.
I expect we'll sell Maloney, bring in Diawara and a LB.
getting 1m for sick note maloney is a good bit of business. And 2 mill for samaras is daylight robbery
they have been given plenty time and chances to repay there fees both of them.time to move on and bring in fresh blood.
jutebhoy, Don't disagree but it is disappointing when you think what a player he looked like becoming.
Haven't seen anything about Ridgewell coming and would be amazed if we signed 2 strikers although we need them as alternatives to Stokes & Hooper.
Convinced that Lenny will play Mulgrew at CB if we get a LB rather than buy a big, strong, fast CB.
Doubt about Sammy to Sunderland as their preference is for Crouch.
will be happy if maloney goes and we get anything near 1 million for him. As i said a few weeks ago i cannot believe this is him starting his 4th season back at celtic. has contributed almost zero and has been living off past seasons.
as for samaras it just sounds too good to be true but a lot of sunderland fans think bruce is capable of signing him.
revenge for murphy would be sweet
short of strikers if sammy goes, we have 2 out and out strikers i do think two forwards will come in
Puyol, these windows will come and go but the magic of being a fan is that each of our clubs is a never-ending story, in which, the cast will change from time to time.
As fans we go on forever and we all live in hope.
As I said in my own thread, before I realised this one!
Its seems o good to be true but the reports coming out of Sky sports about Diawara seem to be good and his agent was saying a fee has been agreed so this could happen.
Although I agree completely with morbhoy, we really need another centre half, I'd rather we sign one striker and use whatever funds we have to bring in a big centre half. Mulgrew is a decent player and is useful for being a utility player but he is not the answer to being a regular in out team, especially at centre half.
Maloney = LIABILITY...not to strong a word I think.
Agree, Mulgrew is well worth keeping as squad player as can cover CB, (decent) LB, (weak) and holding midfielder at a push.

I STILL See No Subs Except
I agree that Maloney is a decent we player and could have his uses, but I dont think Lennon rates him in this system he plays, so if there is cash being offered to help us bring in new striker we may aswell cash in.
Same goes for Ki, if its true that we have been offered 7 million I'd take it. I believe our strongest midfield is Brown, Ledley, Kayal and Commons.
