Ditching price last season.
Dropping Golbourne last season.
The keeper fiasco
Having no plan for the left side
Selling stearman(though i have my doubts this is a Kenny decision )
Selling Stearman was a no brainer as he would have walked for nothing as Sako did. Let's face it you aint gonna make the top six with your current squad are you?
May as well make a bit more dosh.
Unless a better CB is brought in before our next game then to me the sale of Stearman is his worst decision to date.
With all the others mentioned there are mitigating circumstances to a greater or lesser degree - all managers sign players that don't work out & Jackett and co, while failing to identify Sako's replacement, are not to blame for the fact he needs replacing and how tough a job that is.
The fact that , for the next month, we are going to have only two fit CBs both relatively inexperienced will be entirely down to Jackett and if we are off the pace by the end of September I will blame no one but him.
There were a few tacks in Jackett's coffin before this decision but now the first real nail has been driven home.
The last time KJ felt he'd lost the support of the fans and media he walked out on the club. (Swansea - Feb 2007.)
When he resigned from Millwall, (May 2013), is was following a final day of that season that had seen the club only just stay up. At that time he said he was leaving because he felt the club needed someone with fresh ideas. This again shows that he was sensitive to what he saw as "failure", or maybe "lack of success" more like, on his part. Then again - he may already have had overtures from ourselves...
We should maybe let things pan out a little longer before condemning him too much, unless we want to risk his leaving.
Jackett won't walk from the biggest job he's ever likely to have.
Need to remember his errors are no more significant than any previous managers.
They all make errors, its the good decisions that will hopefully define them.
It sounds as though he is his own judge and biggest critic.

I must be the only Wolves fan thinking selling stearman is a good bit of business, I like the fact we are building around youth, it might take a while to bed in but long term I think it's a good move.
Sako leaving was inevitable, far too good for the Championship, wish him well but finding a replacement is near on impossible so hardly Jackets fault.
Has he made mistakes yes, but then tell me a manager who hasn't, but overall I think he has done a hell of a lot more right than wrong and I sometimes wonder what more fans want, we are in good shape as a club with a young squad with plenty of potential.
Will we get promotion, who knows but we are more than good enough to have more than a decent chance.

And they all get sacked when there are enough mistakes to justify it.
Right up to now Jackett didn't need to make top 6 to keep my support next season, with this decision that has changed.
If he thinks getting rid of Stearman and not replacing him is a good fotballing decision fine let him live and die by his decisions and make top 6 without Stearman or go at the end of the season.
Don't agree on stearman but yes, jackett is still well in credit for me.
Everything that you've posted above Cyp has been discussed before and it's still going on, on DJ's thread.
Any reason for this one? Just asking, by the way, or is it just another excuse to continue your doom and gloom attitude?
What a breath of fresh air Amiga and it's nice to read someone who feels the way I do about Stearman.
Peggy, I agree entirely when you say that Stearman would have walked for nothing at the end of the season. Unlike Sako, at least we got some money for him. However, I do believe we have every chance of promotion this season.
3 points without Stearman is a good start and had Ikeme not made a blunder for their goal, Hause and Ebanks-Landell would have had a clean sheet.
"However, I do believe we have every chance of promotion this season"
We will have to disagree there wolfie.
Stearman would not have "walked for nothing" as he has clearly stated he wanted to stay and would have signed a contract extension had Wolves offered one.
As for the "we would have kept a clean sheet without the Ikeme blunder", my aunt would also be my uncle had she grown balls.
Finally, despite you stating that all of the points that I raised here are on another thread (they aren't by the way), I see that you still feel the need to comment. Any reason for this?

Sunny is predicting promotion on one thread and then that we won;t go up on the next. It's his way of guarantying he's RAA at the end of the season.
Of course we have a chance of promotion, sod me the season has barely begun and already fans are writing off our chances.
We will be there or there abouts at the end of the season and a top six is more than possible.

If Stearman goes and isn't replaced have our chance improved or got worse?
Tatter honestly I don't see losing Stearman as that big a deal, you might say less and I might agree but not significantly, I would sooner see us give the youth a chance to gel, which I think they will.
At least he isn't Moyes, Van Gaal or Rodgers - those three clowns had the BEST of foundations and blew £600m between them.
Jackett is a modern day Turner in terms of what our owners want; which is to faff about in this league for years with no risk to the finances after the last disastrous spell in the Premiership.
We are still recovering from that.
Incredible. I love the bit about him being glad you didn't get promotion last season!!
Cyp, it's irrelevant what Stearman wants. KJ doesn't see him as a suitable CB when we go up and it's better to do the deal now than wait until the end of the season when the likelihood would be that he wasn't going to get his extension and he could leave for nothing.
I don't see how posters can't get to grips with that.
I really cannot believe the amount of hype going on about a player who granted has been good at this level, but struggled badly when we were in the Premier League and that's where we all want to be.
I assume that guy I have filtered has made yet another comment Peggy. If I'm right, I stated that we were not ready for the Premier League last season, as we'd just come up form the third tier.
