Would you swap Rodgers for Wenger?

no

he has his own set of issues

if we change managers it would have to be someone proven recently. If we're going to roll the dice on someone with an all-in attacking ethos that can be hit or miss, we may as well stick with Rodgers

How could anyone say no?

Wenger, although deeply flawed in the last decade, is a proven trophy winner.

Ideally fantasy world I wouldn't want either, but as its a straight choice offered I would have to go with Wenger.

No thanks

2 FA cups in a decade, zero chance of winning the CL, League Cup, St Johnstone Paint Trophy or the PL...

Better stick to the devil you know for now

Its only the last 2 season where hes had money to spend and hes delivered 2 trophies again.

In our lean 9 years he had nothing to spend and kept us in the CL.

If Rodgers had nothing to spend u guys would be mid table cannon fodder which u almost are.

I want Wenger replaced at Arsenal, but only by a big name.

He'd definitely be better than Rodgers, because his name value would help attract players.

Wenger is also a specialist at achieving what Liverpool want to achieve... Top 4.

Wenger every day.

He has won the league, got Tony Adams playing football.

The reason I was banned from the Arsenal board was 2 years ago I said that Wenger had taken Arsenal as far as he could. I don't think I was wrong either.

He will never win old big ears and i think he will not win the league in the near future either.

So you think BR can win old big ears and the PL anytime soon?

No, but nor can Wenger so, on those terms, a swap would be pointless.

Not dissin Wenger or his record, but for the sake of balance it has to be said that Rodgers has brought Liverpool closer to the title than Wenger has Arsenal in the last 10 years

That's irrelevant.

Liverpool are a 6th-8th place team trying to make the step up to being a Top 4 team.

Wenger's flawless record in that respect, makes him almost perfect for Liverpool.

Wenger was Manager of the Decade 🏆 - his mere appointment would elevate Liverpool in the eyes of the footballing world.

For a club like Arsenal, he's not good enough anymore, but let's not pretend he's not good enough for Liverpool.

I don't think we have a realistic chance at major honours (but not completely impossible either) with Wenger or Rodgers. We're too financially outgunned and our targets know it (that's why they reject us so often).

Wenger would try Plan A every year for 5 years
Brodge would try Plan A, B, C, D, E, F and G over 5 years

Some of Brodge's plans would be humiliatingly bad
Some quite good but still not as Good as Wenger's Plan A

But one of them will lead to a 20 match run of nearly all wins (2 at the back with 2 left wingers or some completely bizarre thing) it will smoke Wenger's plan A giving us 1 actual chance at a title.

Considering I think we may not (and should not) ever win a title again anyway, I'll stick with Rodgers.

Plan E

I wouldn't swap but that has little to do with respective abilities (Wenger is clearly the better manager at the moment) and everything to do with Wenger being at retirement age!

If Wenger was 10 years younger then I'd swap without a second thought.

It was actually a well written article. Even Admin said it should of stayed. I hardly ever write articles on other teams boards but did that to see what the arsenal fans thought.

Would Pool fans swap him for Pellegrini?

posted on 3/9/15

No purely for the fact we need to make signings to improve and he wouldn't be prepared to do it

posted on 3/9/15

you're on crack Vic

of course not.

At the moment, barring possibly Chelsea, every top club in England has a manager where it's at least 50/50 if not more people thinking changing the manager isn't a bad idea.

LvG is a freak

Brodge had a horrid season last year

Wenger's few remaing supporters seem to be giving up after the transfer window

Pelle had a rubbish season last year and up until this xfer window, didn't have any changes for the better to their XI for years.

It's not pretty reading
