Bent's a finisher. His goal-scoring record is great and you don't lose the knack. At Reading he would have had a tap-in had Forsyth not shot instead of squaring it across the six-yard box as he should have done. He will find positions in the box if our play generates the chances but he isn't likely to create anything. How he is used depends on the state of the game - if opposing teams are defending deep in large numbers he will struggle to find space and to play him with Martin means we lose a player elsewhere and with it potentially control of the game. In a more stretched game I would use him more and drop Martin deeper and then he can play off the last man. Players like Gerd Muller and Jimmy Greaves never did anything much during a game but when you looked in the papers it turned out they had scored a couple. I think Clement knows what Bent can and can't bring to the team and will use him when he thinks we can handle the midfield with a body less and need a finisher.

Wassa - in comparison to your "dump a link or fabricated rumour" approach, yes we are experts

This coming from an armchair fan
Define an armchair fan? Would you consider someone who went to 12 home games last season and 6 away games an armchair fan?
Clearly going to every game like you're implying you do, doesnt do your knowledge or debate any good

I'm a sofa fan. Does that count for anything? Where do I rank in expertise?
And who's rattled your chain
Suggest you get with the times Wassa. Your attempted dig at an appearance goes back about 3 years. Suggest you look me up now.
But thanks for backing up my point about you having no intellect whatsoever other than dropping in a link or a made up story
Serial you should join this geezer in your attempted wind up........https://www.youtube.com/embed/G90-oQC-Lxk
just wondering what this pantomime argument is all about. You were best mates on Allestree golf course in 2008 and also on the trip to Forest Green.
Hello again...I dunno...leave the thread alone for one day and it's all kicking off!
On a lighter note, I understand Fawaz has agreed to follow the EU directive and take 15,000 migrants, as he says he has seats for them at the City Ground....

There must of been a few thousand of them at your game the other night, because all I could hear was-
I wanna go home, I wanna go home, Derbys a ลhíthole, I wanna go home
and they're biting...
