Steve McClown, what a Wally.
The issue goes deeper than him. "Pardew out" was never gonna fix the malaise
The wolly looks to get richer. £1m+ pay off from Derby and a mega pay off from Newcastle and he's on the board there. Simpsons career isn't looking good. Not a good CV for him at the moment
Hi Admin - I'm happy tonight
"I'd rather jack than Stevie Mac". That's what I said when he was first linked with Derby. Lone voice of sense in a world full of fools, as per.
Just saying.
Shall I delete an Admin, just because I can?
Smite me with such treatment from football club owners. His reputation in tatters and only several million pounds for doing very little work to console him.
McClaren & Simpson have been fools. They had it all at Derby. All they had to show was loyality to the Candy Man and they had everything. Now they have abuse worse than ever. You made yer beds...now lie in it.
The judas git's only got Chelsea and man city next

I'm not sure you can - try it and see <mwah ha ha>
McClaren & Simpson will never have a better chance in football than they had at Derby. They have just ended their careers.
I said Mc would be gone by half term.
After Chelsea and Man City he MUST beat Norwich .... then it's Sunderland!
He might be busy 5th November ๐๐ฅ

And we were so good to him, we even let him keep the tie.

Great, we can light a bonfire and put the baaaastard on top! Love and licks, Tilly.
Love and licks, Tilly.
Could be worse I suppose, it could have being Tim or Tom.
It goes deeper than McClaren, who is scouting and purchasing these second rate players for them and why for about the 4th season running have they not addressed the shambolic defence?
As much as it amuses me seeing both Mac and Newcastle struggle, I can't help thinking that its not all his fault. But then i go and have a little word with myself.
Steve McClaren says it's becoming a Crisis.
Don't think many fans who support Derby have much sympathy for him

I've got nothing against McClaren personally; he came in and improved us but had his head turned by mega bucks and (evidently) offers of directorships etc.
If I had been in his position at any club aside from Derby County, I'd have done exactly the same thing, and probably with exactly the same result. Newcastle is an impossible job, the football manager equivalent of riding a mechanical bull, with the only question being how long you'll manage to cling on before the inevitable but unlike the pub garden attraction you finish millions of pounds better off than when you started. Would I give a crap what people like you thought of me for those kinds of bucks..? Not a chance.
We hoped he would be more of a Rams fan than he was and is, but that's our misconception, not his. At least we know PC thinks of us as his first job and not his last
I agree with a lot of that 666 and I have no problem with McClaren wanting to leave Derby and go to Newcastle, but he was disingenuous in the way he went about it. He should have been honest with his employer about his intentions rather than leave Rush and the ownership in the no-man's land of not knowing if or when he would leave. Had it been his intention all along to leave at the end of the season then his employer would no doubt have respected his reasons and started making plans (fortunately they were smart enough to do this anyway). In the meantime he could have done all he could to get the club promoted - Warburton knew he was going to be leaving Brentford but this did not affect his work.
McClaren just wanted to keep all options open just in case it all fell through with Newcastle. I understand this but it is shabby behaviour and just shows a lack of integrity. He could have retained our respect by acting differently - maybe from his previous experiences he feels he has been treated badly and is entitled to look after number one rather than worry about the consequences and what people think of him as a man. That's a shame. You would like to think people place a value on self-respect and the desire to do the right thing when possible. I exempt Simmo from all of this, I don't think he was anything more than a lieutenant to McClaren. He wasn't targeted by Newcastle and it was only after a meeting with Clement that he went to join McClaren. It was likely to be either that or unemployment. Simmo's a decent guy.
Totally agree 666. Not quite sure what he has done to deserve quite the level of hostility from some.
Pretty much anyone who isn't a Derby fan would see the move as a non brainer.
Sorry folks, but I can't and don't agree with all these anti McClaren posts.
Despite his somewhat tarnished international and domestic reputation before he came to Derby, he was regarded by the vast majority of fans as a great appointment.
He gave us face again. He produced a side that played hugely entertaining football and got the very best out of some average players. Players wanted to come to Derby because of McClaren. His coaching prowess pulled interest from players that Nigel Clough could only dream of.
I wish he was still at Derby and I'm quite sure that subconsciously, he and Paul Simpson do too.
I wished him all the best when he left Derby and to be honest, I take no pleasure at all from the fact it appears to be going belly up at Newcastle.
From the posts I've read, some Derby fans appear to have very short memories.
