I would take a point. If Coquelin is not fit we will concede a LOT of chances.

I think Leicester will start there inevitable sink to the bottom of table this weekend.

Arro mate if only football was that simple.
We are never going to have wave after wave of attack against a side with the quality of Arsenal.
They are technically superior to us all over the pitch and so will probably have 60% + of possession, however as has proven so far in all our games possession doesn't win you football matches.
We need to be hard to break down against them and then hammer them on the counter attack with our lightening pace. That is where we can hurt them.
I'd take a draw right now
I think Arsenal will inevitably finish as usual without any trophies. Same old same old. Lmao

Technically superior all over the pitch? I have to disagree. Mahrez is, on this seasons performances, is better than any of Arsenal's midfield.

Would I swap him for Cazorla, Wilshere or Ozil? Nope! Would I swap Drinky or Kante for Ramsay? Nope!
Would I swap Schlupp, Dyer or MA with the Ox? Nope!
Would I swap Vardy for Walcott or Giroud? Again nope!

I wouldn't swap many of our players to be honest. I'd have some of Arsenal's players but you wouldn't see me trade for any!

We don't need to have wave after wave for 90mins, when we actually attack we score goals and go one up and we could get more. Arsenal's defence isn't the best and we have the fastest and fittest team in the league. We should look to be on the front foot and put them under pressure, get a goal or two and then do our job of allowing them to come on to us but not at 0-0.

We have the players to hurt Arsenal and we should be looking to do that. Get up em quickly and let them deal with us for the first half an hour and I'm sure we'll score.

I think this could be the first game where allowing pressure could actually hurt us, we can't afford to be going 0-2 to Arsenal

========

You can. We've made it a bit of a habit in recent years to lose from winning positions. I've lost count of the amount of times we've been 2-0 and ended up with nothing. Even 3-0 like Anderletch last season and no PL fan will forget the famous 4-4 at Newcastle where we were 4 up at HT

Yeah fair enough Ramboue I guess you have but its definitely something we need to avoid this time around 👍

So what are your thoughts then mate? Who replaces Gabriel and Cazorla?

posted on 24/9/15

Give me Ramsey and Wilshere in our midfield all day long in exchange for any of our central midfielders.

Going to be a very tough game this.

I fully understand the Gooner's comment that we could at any time start our slide down the table as I think most Leicester fans are realistic enough to know we are only temporarily occupying the CL spaces, but we are enjoying it while it lasts and the longer it goes on we might just secure a top half finish.

Gabriel is available I think.

With Cazorla and Coquelin out naturally Ramsey will have to movve back into CM. Originally I would have wanted Arteta to partner him but Flamini may have won his place in the line up after yesterday

Ah yeah he had his red card rescinded so he will be.

I wouldn't have Ramsey or Wilshere ahead of our midfield, I think now Drinky has settled in he's every bit as good and Kante I would have all day everyday!

Let's not forget that this Arsenal that we're playing. They're a top 4 team, have been for years, and for good reason - plus we have an awful record against them over the last two decades. If they play to their best, they'll likely win.

That's not to say that we don't have reason to be optimistic though. If Arsenal don't play to their best then hopefully we'll be right there and ready to spring an upset.

We have an even worse record against West Ham but that's changed now. I'm not too concerned about past finishes and past squads or anything like that, I'm only interested in the here and now and right no I feel as though if we play as well as we can, we'll win!

And we've scored exaclty the same amount of goals this calender year and more this srason so is anyone going to even try to argue that they're more dangerous than us on the attack? No? Good!

Clearly they are not better than us otherwise they would have scored more. I think we obviosuly love to underestimate our own quality and get so excited about "names" playing for the opposition, when we actually have players that are every bit as good now!

Leicester are better than arsenal come on mate. So you think you'll finish top 4?

posted on 24/9/15

You will finish between 7th (at a push) and 13th. Probably like ourselves. Which would be a fantastic season for you

posted on 24/9/15

At a massive push.

And I think arro's point about whether we're as dangerous on the attack as Arsenal needs to be taken as being correct, but with a reference to timeframe. They have been as potent in recent times, we can say that. Longer term is another matter and, while it's true that Arsenal do need a striker, it's unlikely that they're going to be ringing up Vichai and asking him to name his price for Shinji Okazaki any time soon.

Didn't say we were better, I said their attack isn't beter than ours and it's not! We have scored exactly the same amount of goals this calendar year and more this season so good luck trying to argue that!!

Equally Dunge, we won't be ringing them up and asking for Giroud or Welbeck and its Wenger who wants one of our players not the other way round!

Historically Liverpool have been mug better than us but right now they're not. History is one thing but the present and future is more important.

posted on 24/9/15

If we thought they'd actually come, of course we would!

posted on 24/9/15

We wouldn't because they're not the kind of players we want.

We never even looked to Arsenal players in the Championship, it was always United's and for good reason too.

I remember we had one lad from Arsenal in League One but his name escapes me because he was no good. I genuinely wouldn't swap any of Arsenal's midfield or forwards for ours but that's not to say I wouldn't take them. I think Kante, Drinky and Mahrez are as good as Ramsay, Wilshere and Ozil!

I read an article the other day about Drinky and the author was remarking how much influence Cambiasso has had on him, more so than any other player. He said Leicester have brought in Inler to replace him but we could have had his replacement under our noses the whole time. This wasn't a Leicester fan but he has been very impressed by Drinky all season and thinks he's a top player.

If he carries on the way he is now and continues to develop then there will be no argument that he's not as good as Ramsay or Wilshere and Mahrez and Ozil aren't even comparable at the moment and the former is by far the better player right now!

If I was an owner/manager and I had the chance to pick up a keen player of Giroud or Welbeck's quality, I wouldn't turn them down for the sake of counterattacking football. Ranieri's already said that he wants us to have more possession, and he's taunted his central midfielders by suggesting that we don't have possession players (in a good, "prove me wrong" kind of way).

Quality players of the right attitude are always welcome.

Arsenal have got a big champions league game after their game with us which could (hopefully) be good for us.

Clutching at straws Tbh. Likely to be our first loss is on Saturday
