Across various sports:
Football: Stewat Downing. Grew up round the corner from me and played for a rival school, so playeed against him a fair bit growing up.
Rugby: Matthew Tait. Another who played for a school (thus time secondary) in close proximity to mine. Played against him/with him for representative/county sides too.
Athletics: Greg Rutherford, Chris Tomlinson, Will Sharman. Spent a long time in the sport both as a long jumper and a hurdler and have competed against and been part of squads with all of the above. Was also due to be in a race with former Olympic Champion and 4 time world champion Allen Johnson in Cardiff once over; he unfortunately never made it to the start line.
I played against the TV Entertainers Team back in the early 90s, Daniel Day Lewis, Ray Winstone, Terry Marsh, Ian Beale etc. Good crack. Winstone was good value, Beale was scared he'd get a kicking, and Terry Marsh shot Frank Warren not long after
Played against Joe Hart, scored in a penalty shoot out too
Played against Adam Proudlock a bit too, he went from Wolves to Newport Town in about 4 years

heard he was the best keeper in the area... head and shoulders above the rest
Used to mark Ricky Hill of Luton during opposing School matches.
You could see he was a cut above the rest of us.
Gary Waddock of QPR, once kicked some kid's ball miles over the fence from his front garden, when he and I were walking home from some bird's drum that we had been round with her and her mate. Does that count?
He was always a cocky so and so.
Oh, played against Elliot Bennett and Kyle Bennett a few times too. Play for Norwich and Pompy now.
Weirdly yes - Damian Lewis!
I was playing for a Design team (a lot of Graphic Designers like myself play in a London based league) and we were up against a team including Damian Lewis who was trying to get fit for Soccer Aid a few years ago. This was post Homeland fame so you can imagine the shock on our faces when he turned up.

Dad played with Chris HughtonReally decent man apparently.
Brother played with Jermain Defoe, he was in the year above, was always told you could always see he was special since then
I've played with no one famous

St Bon's boys?
Not really played with as such but once got a 'pass' from Sir Bobby Charlton. The soccer school I was with as a kid in the 90's were on a trip to his soccer school and staying there for a few nights and during one of the sessions I was doing nets while the lads hit a few free kicks over the fake men wall, one of the shots went wide and i went to get it only to look up and see Sir Bobby standing with it at his feet and passed it back to me. I literally nearly dropped, whole place went crazy then, apparently it was very rare for him to call in and even the coaches didn't know he was coming. Actually ran into him outside the stadium last year before the Liverpool game and reminded him of it, such a nice man, made a joke about why i wasn't playing in the match if i was at his soccer school and then said he remembered the school I was from coming over a few times.
Also on that trip we took in a Sheff Wednesday v West Ham game and met Kevin Pressman, Carbone and Di Canio after the game. Me and another lad had sneaked back into the stadium down the side of the pitch through the gap in the stands, while everyone was waiting for autographs, . Pressman gave me his gloves and then told us we better leave but Di Canio and Carbone came along then and allowed us to walk with them to their cars, both identical Alfa Romeo's, two really sound fella's.

St Bon's boys?
______
You know it buddy. You as well?
Wade Elliott at college
Wayne Bridge most Thursday nights when he was at Southampton
Ravel Morrison every week when he lived in Manchester
My favourite is when I played in Trafford bar footy league and Balotelli's brother came down for a game. I didn't know who he was but I pushed him off the ball and he dived all over the pitch. Anyone who knows the trafford/moss sidle league will know you can get murdered for diving on a pitch
Taken penalties against Alex Williams
I also went to Bobby Charlton Soccer skills club every summer and Beckham was in the year above me. He was average back then but his old man made him train once we had all finished. Practice makes perfection
Anyone remember a player called Dave Puckett? Played for Saints in the 80's in Division 1.
Play with him in my Sunday team, he's 50+ now but still a great player and a top top guy. Still plays with the enthusiasm of an 18 year old, simply loves the game. It's great to see.

Indeed. Yeah I went there mate.
Theo Walcott was in the same age group and league as me before he was picked up by Southampton
I've played along side Finidi George, we were in the same dormitory in secondary school, he was the house captain, we trained together several times and I even featured in one of the house matches, I was attacking from the left (11) and he was our top striker. Also kanu nwankwo was having a fling with my gf back then and one day he came to pick her up while she was watching our training session, it was a 5 a side game, we begged him to join us and he played for about 7 mins, scored a goal b4 he left with my girl, we were all thrilled.
Hmm not sure if he is famous but he plays for Portsmouth.
Guy called jed wallace, played against his numerous times in a 5 a side league over the past few years.
Wow
Didnt realise but he's moved to wolves... Fair play to him, very good player
Lewis Hamilton.
Both in the same year at school but at different schools in Stevenage.
