I got pulled up for saying we'd see a big improvement with Studges return. I know it's too early to say this is the case, I struggle to see the problem with relying on the return of your most influential player to kick start a recovery

City were looking unstoppable and have fallen apart since Silva's injury. One injury can make a big difference if it's your best player.
We played as well as we did against Norwich. That result killed him a bit because we'd be third or something.
Good result, still conceded two though, and for me it's all about the derby.

He kept his mouth shut whilst we weren't winning, just got on with trying to turn things around. We're starting to show a bit of form, so why shouldn't he say what he thinks? No cliches, generic quotes, just his real thoughts. Give him a break.
Given that Coutinho missed a chance against Norwich that would have left us two points off the top of the table after a fifth of the season then maybe Brendan has a point.
October's games will tell us far more than today.

I thought all my worries about them receiving a good education we're sorted.One is brilliant,the other is a lazy mare who thinks she hasn't got to try,and neither take the dog for a walk.

Results are the only things that get you the sack.
Brendan got himself under pressure by winning about 5 out of 20 games, comparable to our worst runs under Souness, Dalglish and Hodgson in the last 25 years.
If he turns that around it will be results that save him, but one win with 3 goals scored still leaves a fair bit to go yet.
BR makes comparison of loses with United, City, Ars eholes, Spurs but fails to mention that we are 5, 4,3, and 1 point(s) behind them.......He should talk of total points......which is the bottom line.

The thing that irks me in all of this is the 'we're only 5 points off the top' comment. We've only played 7 bloody games. That magnifies to about 25 points off the top come May. I've no idea when that became acceptable?

It's just a fact that people are stating, you're twisting it to make it look worse than it is. If a team draws their first game then they're two points off the top, which would equate to a 76 point gap in May. So I'm not exactly sure what your point is. Unless you're just moaning for the sake of moaning......
