Ings can link with anyone, he puts the effort in and I have no qualms about him.

Studge and couts have always linked up well.

It's early days yet for this squad but it's coming together. Need to carry on the form into midweek, no travelling involved so we should be fine.

R we saying now studge is back its all ok? This is massively missing the point, br brought in ings, origi and benteke yet it only clicks when studge is back!!

Sorry but that just points to a lack of management skills to me. R u telling me br can't get a tune out of ings and benteke with couts supporting? What a damning assessment of br.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We dont know.

the bigger issue is he bought those players in and never even tried them together!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

and if rodgers is trying to suggest he didnt sign off on any of these players, he should have walked.
He could have gone with his stock at its highest, with his morals on full display.
I dont subscribe to this whole committee rubbish about buying players he doesnt want. No way on this planet would he have signed a deal after finishing second, to be told he had to take players that non football guys were just going to buy...not a chance!

I just points don't get why br persisted with playing players out of position, why he played the 433 when it failed time and time again...and why he played lovren who's confidence was shot.

I think there is every chance of this and Werner has alluded to it himself.

Is there anything you like about LFC, I don't think anybody will disagree that you should be our next manager with all your qualifications your just the man to turn LFC things around and I would also say at half the price that Rodgers is getting paid.

Do you boo yours off Arouna or is being shiite just the normal expectation so there's nothing to boo?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Under Kendall it happened and all our managers who followed.

But to hear it happening at Anfield, that's a first.

Couldn't disagree more, this is likely to be his biggest job, there's no way he would walk out

I think the way he alienates some of the players shows or points towards committee signings

then any self respecting guy would have walked out after last season with his staff and made the whole world know about it.
He let his mate take the blame.

Im not saying the committee members dont have a say in who is bought, but I find it beyond belief that they agree on players that rodgers doesnt want:

Straight after his 2nd place finish!

Red.....you know what, im convinced i could get the team performing better tha br has done the last 6 months.

A manager actually does very little, its the coaches etc that do the day to day stuff. A manager manages, he sets the formation and tactics, makes the subs when necessary and tells the owners who he wants.

If id have signed benteke and ings, guess what I would have played two up front....genius eh? Gues what else....lovren, he wouldnt get passed sakho AND I wouldnt play a young cb (gomez) at lb when I had bought moreno FOR THE LB SLOT!!!

I would be on the front foot and I wouldn't rely on a 70 minute defined time to play the subs....I would react to a situation or better, be proactive.....I.e....see that it starting to go wrong and change it!

Do I get the job???

Is that with Scott Parker as your midfield general alongside Mo Diame and with Joe Heart in goal.

Not to mention Lalana , Couts, Ive, Hendo, Flano, Sturige and Sketel.

Did he? Bit of a leap isn't it.

Marsh was out of contact and Pascoe had a year left. If Pascoe didn't offer enough when the going was tough then he's lost his job on merit.

I'll bet all my money that Rodgers was at the very least not fussed by signing Markovic hence why he's been bombed put on loan.

Bloody hell.

I'd play 2 strikers, tell the players to enjoy themselves, respect the supporters by busting a gut for every loose ball even if it seems a lost cause, and shout "ATTAAAAACK!!" from the side of the pitch. And make it all look good wearing fantastic suits.

can I have the job?

I used to think GB gets a hard time on here. This has swayed me.

I cant even be sure marko was a committee signing..

Brendan is the one that loves 4-3-3 so you would think he was responsible for bringing in a left sided attacker for a 4-3-3

The thing that points to him not being a brendan signing is only the fact that he then never played him in position, although ibe and sterling were both rodgers favourites and ibe has regularly been deployed at wing back, and he converted sterling to a central player.

i think the definition is probably committee signings are stat/moneyball drive: Marko, Firmino, Gomez, Origi, Sakho, Assaidi, Alberto, Moreno, Manquillo.

Brendans signings will be players known to him, probably generally from the league or well known players: Benteke, Clyne, Lovren, Lallana, Milner, Sturridge, Allen, Borini, Coutinho

hard to guess who is who, and even which aproach is best, i would guess you probably need both.

what you dont need is the manager to prioritise his players for starting berths, and play the the "committee" signings out of position constantly.

posted on 27/9/15

I think this whole committee/Rodgers signing split is a myth and Rodgers treating signings that he didn't want differently is a ridiculous addition to that myth.

Agree but you forgot about Balotelli

From what i read it was balo or nobody as we missed our targets. Rodgers didn't want him at all

Hindsight means ANYONE from the youth set up would have been better.

I agree with the list you made, seems split that way

posted on 27/9/15

I still think if Balo got played with a partner he would have been a reasonable success.

Untestable theory now
