Rodgers record against the big teams is terrible, probably worst than Wenger's. Bad example to use.

Wenger is devoted to "Wengerball". It's a Barcelona 2009-2011-LITE style but without the aggression, pressing game or any physical power. It's about quick, small, nimble players passing teams to death.

So good, solid teams with power and speed will always get openings against Arsene's Arsenal and will always be able to resist Arsene's offense. You've no midfield solidarity, and no defensive strength playing "Wengerball" against good teams prepared for you. And Arsene's devotion to playing just the one way means you get eaten up almost every single time.

If Wenger would stop trying to fence against a behemoth's weilding warhammers, you'd have much more of a chance and a few more titles. But he won't.

And that's why you always lose to Manchester United and Chelsea.

I honestly cant remember the last time United or Chelsea clearly outclassed us but the result is never in doubt. I wont mention City and Liverpool because we have our fair few wins against both due to the open style football both play.

That 6-0

It comes down to tactical inflexibility from Arsenal. Against Chelsea in the Community Shield we were tight, compact and didn't give Chelsea much breathing space in the final 3rd. Whereas normally we go all out, play openly and get punished for it.

A simple tactic to beat Arsenal was to put pressure on Arteta high up the pitch which worked well for Chelsea.

United similarly beat us pretty much down to staying compact and being very clinical in front of goal and tight at the back.

If we want to beat United, we need to play more conservatively and hit them on the counter. Playing a nice high line with be bread and butter for the likes of Mata, Martial and Depay to exploit.

Blunders against the better teams are always more likely to cost you goals as they have better players to take advantage of mistakes.

Think everyone knows it's going to be 2-0, 2-1 or 3-1 to United this weekend tbf. Utterly inevitable, which is sad actually even as a United fan. Feel bad for Wenger and Arsenal fans in equal measure.

Something seriously wrong with Arsenal against Utd and chelsea(under mourinho), yes the odd win over the past decade or so but Utd have fielded some pretty dire teams and still beat arsenal, the fa cup game springs to mind, the slow compact style we try to play with suggests Arsenal will lose again because they generally have no clue when a team is set up solidly and can counter,

But u never know, always despite our recent history feel twitchy against Arsenal away

I highly doubt that, Wenger seems to have clued up a bit tactically in the big games. I think we'll draw.

The games against Moyes' Utd eradicated any hope i had of Wenger ever beating Utd again.

Keep it tight and then hit teams on the counter, that what they do to us and this tactic has worked for us in the past 12 months.

City away - 0-2
United away FA Cup - 1-2
Chelsea - Charity Shield - 1-0

We shoud have got a min point against Chelsea this season but the Ref had an absolute mare as usual.

Tactics are changing but the game on Sunday will really tell us where were are. Cannot afford to lose to United at home.

On the other hand, Theo should be starting v Utd instead of Giroud who has been one of the biggest problems we've had in big games since he arrived.

even when we keep it tight the odd mistake sees us lose the game thats why Wenger flactuates between making us play tight and going all out.

Against Chelsea at the bridge we kept it tight for 30 minutes or so then Hazard was given the freedom of the pitch and it went downhill from there. Against Moyes united same thing, against chelsea until Gabriels red card.

Each time we have kept it tight against united at home the game ends in a 0-0 draw and the fans boo. We pressed them up the pitch last season, outplayed them as they made mistake after mistake yet we still lost the game.
