This one has to be one of the odder Forest stories, some bloke in the US gets inundated on twitter coz a load of Forest fans couldn't tell the difference between him and Wes Morgan and now as a result he's some kinda folk hero? Really?
I see him commenting on Forest every week now on twitter, his comments gets hundreds of favourites and retweets, the guy hadn't even heard of Forest up until a few years ago! I find the whole thing strange, are Forest fans that bored and success starved that they cling to any cause to distract them from the norm - i.e. unsuccessful and poor teams year after year!!
success starved ? really !!
please tell us what the sheep have won lately, er, er, nowt.
in fact what success have they had these past 20 years or more, er, er nowt again.
yes it may have been a long time ago when we won our trophies but at least we did win them.
i'll keep my eyes glued for the next time the woolies win a cup or trophy, but me thinks i'll be in for a long wait.
in fact what was you doing on Forest fans twitter ?
That is probably one of the most unnecessarily grumpy responses I've seen on here
They don't really need to do anything special for him though do they?
He's a Forest fan, there's a clue in the name Forestlen !
This is a great story, and I for one enjoy reading what he has to say, and how he's taken Forest and the fans into his heart.
The simple fact that he's still enthusiastic about us after the dross he's seen over the last few seasons shows that he "gets"what it means to be a true fan.
I hope he has a great time over here, and that the club do something to welcome him, maybe show him round the stadium or interview him for Forest Player.
sorry forestlen, thought it was another sheep on here, should have realised with a tag like that.
just thought it would be a good idea to give him a Forest welcome after coming all the way from USA.
as suggested a tour of the ground, introduction to players and Fawaz etc.
hope no offence taken sorry.
When has Len needed an excuse to be unnecessarily grumpy?
Give him a place on the bench with the coaches like that Man Utd coach driver!
I might add I don't have anything against the guy jumping on the forest bandwagon and enjoying the attention but interviewing him on player, guest at the game, personalised tours, FFS!!!! There are fans who have followed forest all their lives, invested emotionally and financially, who haven't nor will ever receive such attention!!! One of the Forest fan groups meeting him for pints sounds about right, bitta perspective needed here me thinks....

Spot on
Sorry Len but that's a very negative opinion, it's like saying the only people who are allowed to love the Beatles are those that were around when they where performing.
So what if he's only been a fan for 4 years, he invests more time and effort into his new found interest than many a traditional long time fan.

Sorry I never said he couldn't be a fan and good luck to him or anyone else who decides to take an interest in Forest or any other club, that's great and that's what following sport is all about. But the scores of forest fans retweeting and frenzying about his every word when he comments on twitter about forest stuff is just embarrassing. Its not like the club doesn't have an actual sizeable international fanbase as it does. People are treating the novelty of a Yank supporting Forest like its some kinda miraculous event, NFFC already have an established an multi national network of actual supporters who've been supporting the club for generations unlike this chap who only heard of us after a bunch of knuckle draggers on twitter couldn't tell the difference between and our centre half at the time!!
The guys a feel good tourist enjoying the limelight, so good luck to him but he's no knowledgeable fan that's for sure. If the club want to do something for him then so be it but I think its all totally over proportion and the entire episode is pretty amateurish!!!
The red carpet treatment Fawaz is giving him, drove you over the embargo line I believe..
Hilarious Serial, absolutely side splitting stuff. What did we do to draw to attract you to infect our boards with your presence? Not a sheep visitor I've seen much in a long while bar the last week or so
Basically what all this equates to is a slow news week, which is fine by me

In other news, Veldwijk has apparently stated that he wished he had signed for Feynoord ahead of Forest last summer but they didn't take up the option they had on players from Exelsior. Think the feeling is mutual, Lars...
He's scored 6 in 7 for Zwolle, another player who'll no doubt have a decent career for himself away from Forest who simply never gave him a proper chance.
It's a different league in a different country. Who is to say even with more of a shot in the first team he would have replicated that? Apparently he struggled in the U21's when given the chance there and it didn't work out for him. Unless you saw something in his few appearances, U21's or training that told you otherwise?
I read what Veldwijk said, but the fact is that he hasn't shown ANYTHING promising in a red shirt at all, so maybe he's better off in Holland.
Given what Freedman has said about wanting players that want to play for us, there's no chance of him coming back now anyway. Your loss Lars.
