I'm good, think I have a cold sore coming though, always get one when the weather changes this time of year.
You?
No I don't get cold sores
I do get a couple of cracks in my lip though which facking kill, and make me talk like a spaaz as I can't open my mouth properly
Mike is busy celebrating the Trump victory
My Mrs wants us to go to either the Dominican Republic or Mexico in February for some sun on her 30th birthday, if we decide on Mexico maybe we can book an excursion to see the great wall
Yeah
Thinking of winter sun too, tbh... too many wasted hours to get to Dominican or Mexico though, especially with time difference.
Yeah it's a decent flight, wouldn't bother for 7 nights but probably going to go for 10/11
If her Birthday was a month or two later I'd do the Canaries but bit of a gamble for the first week of Feb, been before when it's been nice and 19-23 degrees ish, but also when it's been crap weather all week
Decided either Caribbean or a city break, but too cold for a lot of the cities she wanted to go to!
I'm going Budapest in January. Not so much sun there

Fair play... what about Cape Verde? Going more or less straight down from here, even if it's a 10 hour flight, is better than going across latitudes. Cape Town is a good bet... get a night flight and you've wasted no time at all..
She's been to Cape Verde before so ruled it out
I'm not that fussed to be honest, would rather go on 2 holidays later in the year for the price of those 11 nights, maybe throw an Eastern Europe city break in as well in September time or something.
Buuuut she wants what she wants and it's her Birthday
What's your issue with a time difference?
If you pick the right flights you can get a good sleep on the flight and be there for the morning.
Also, if you're going for a lounge around who cares if you're tired for the first day.

Of course, night flights make a difference... but if you travel across latitudes night is at a different time.
My flight back from Australia was weird we followed the night time and was pretty much dark for a whole day.
Exactly... better to go a long way, overnight, but stay within 3 or 4 hours of your home time zone.
As I said: you can go down to Cape Town without jetlag..
I'd like to go to Cape Town but to explore a little, bed and breakfast & look around. She wants a big complex with 5 or 6 restaurants, spa, all inclusive and a nice beach.
