I'm going to say straight away that I personally believe leaving your match winner (mahrez) on the bench is a mistake. Against Spurs, without his moment of brilliance, we would have lost.

Naturally agree with RDL on the bench but lets see if it makes a difference

I think Mahrez has been left out because out wide he gets nullified now and we're not playing five in midfield so we can't play him down the middle because he won't work as hard as Okazaki and that's obviously what CR wants. Okazaki hasn't been up to much recently has he?

Did Ranieri read Joby's post and thread????

Exactly what we all suggested at the back to make us more solid.

But will we look less dangerous. Time will tell.

He was completely nullified in the middle against Arsenal (when he was moved there) last week. It didnt really help him.....I just think if teams are going to put two players on him (that can happen if he plays on the wing or in the middle) then he has to learn to deal with that.

^ shame though because he deserves to be playing, it wasn't his fault he got doubled/tripled up on so not his fault he didn't have his best game, it's kind of understandable.

But yes BS I agree

Ranieri already coming in for some stick over Mahrez - will he be proven right? Would Mahrez have caused Norwich defensive nightmares or just come unstuck as he did against Bournemouth?

Is he the ace up CR's sleeve??

Mahrez is being sussed out though, teams know that he hates to pass and always cuts inside. He is on the bench so maybe second half? I am glad to see changes, unlike the last guy sticking with a losing side!

He'll play a part no doubt about that and he comes to life in bursts anyway so bringing him on to terrorise them isn't going to be a bad thing for us.

He doesn't have to start to win us the match and I can understand CR's thinking. Schlupp can terrorise defenders too and if he gets enough balls into the box, i'm sure one of them will be accurate enough, law of averages and all that.

I want to see Ulloa, he works hard too and gives us something to aim at in the box, especially with Fuchs on the pitch now. I fell having Vardy and Okazaki up top almost makes Albrighton pointless because the player that will benefit from him the most isn't playing.

Ball was played behind him, tough header to keep on target.

How are we looking?

Nervy on both sides

I hope CR doesn't do a Pearson, get spooked and start losing by being too defensive. We don't do defensive well

BS Simpson should not be on the park and i bet RDL would love to have Albrighton and Hove Albion in front of him.
