I think Ward did OK for us in the Prem. Not the most talented player that has ever played the game but at least gave 100% despite him being asked to play in unfamiliar positions. Rewarded for his efforts and talents by his country as well.
Cinci would much rather knock players like Ward who gave everything and yet defend to the hilt, players like Clarke who displayed no efforts whatsoever.
Wonder who's wumming whom!
Never defended Clarke to the hilt Cyp, just the notion that someone with 110 goals is crap.
Didn't want him at wolves any more than you did, and would take 1 ward over 2 clarkes any day.
But i will not over exaggerate the talents of remarkably average players like Ward and Edwards either, i find that a little cringe worthy to be honest, this is Wolverhampton Wanderers not Birmingham.
But yes, i do wum when the wumming begins
I'm going to let it go this time, but we're going too far off topic again guys....
I thought property hyper-inflation was limited to the SE.
Hadn't realised that the price of houses in Liverpool had soared to this sort of level....

Fortunately, as the topic is about houses... so we are back on track now.
Clarke is/was crap though 100 goals or not......
He certainly was Tino, but you know you shouldn't judge a player like Clarke based on what he has done at Wolves. You should judge him based on what he has done at teams like Coventry and Bury at a level lower than the one we need him to play at.
This criteria however, is completely different when you judge someone like Stephen Ward or Dave Edwards etc. Then, you should only remember any poor seasons the club has had whilst they were there or any recent defeats, point out that they haven't played for a while if they have a good game or are involved in an historic moment for another club or country and make sure you are on hand to put them down if ever anyone mentions them.
In defence of cinci, and to bring some perspective, Ward was (and still is) one his favourite players.
I think there's a pride in seeing a player that the club nurtured, or discovered, going on to do well.
It was the same with Bully, and if Benik Afobe gets a full international call-up - I'll be delighted too - whether he's still with us, or plying his trade elsewhere.
You don't have to have played at a high level to appreciate that.

67' Major danger for Ireland as Muller gets so close to getting a shot away but Stephen Ward clears bravely

That's from the Irish FA's Twitter account. I think that was where he picked up the injury as he had to be taken off.
Sacrificed himself for the good of the team.
Interesting stat, for those that take notice of these things...
Lee Hughes has over 300 career goals, more than Wayne Rooney!!
Another school shooting in the USofA
Was this one by a well formed militia as per their second amendment rights?
