We had him a couple of seasons ago on loan at Leicester and he was very dodgy tbh...but he was very very young and he may have improved alot.

He can't be that bad anyway or Man City would have moved him on by now, so you might have a decent young Left back with you...

Any ideas why Nicky Maynard deal to Leicester didn't go through ? As I understand it Bristol accepted the bid or is that not the case ?

No bid accepted as far as im aware, source?

A number of journo's on Twitter all kinda said the same thing...6m including add ons etc etc...but as you say BCFC haven't actually confirmed any bid so maybe one was never made.

Well, a new bid never made as it's common knowledge 3 previous bids were rejected....

As to the McGivern question. As Arrrrr Muzz has stated he was a bit dodgy when at Leicester.

As to the Maynard question i read somewhere Wigan also interested.

Be glad when this transfer window shuts..

I was excited when we got Ryan McGivern on loan from Manchester City. I thought he must be good to be on their books.

I must admit that he was simply awful for us. Lacked pace and was seriously dodgy.

Since then he's been loaned to Crystal Palace and they seem to want to keep him. Even Man City are still loaning him out rather than selling him so he must have something.

To be fair he was only a youngster when at Leicester so he might have improved.

From 'X' of the Man City board

He likes football, bleach and long walks on the beach.

He's a solid defender, a good centre back, but much more to offer at full back if allowed to join the attack, as he's comfortable on the ball, crosses well and has an eye for goal x

Brightredrickster, are you talking about the same player?

He's absolute balls and we all know it.

not much use as a full back because he gets caught out of position when he tries to attack.
