Should have happened earlier IMO. Has been and is a great player, surprised other clubs never came knocking for him.
Great pace, brave, reads the game well. Under Martinez he has shown he is also great with ball at feet /distribution

According to many ITKs on twitter Arsenal have enquired about him the last few summers but we've said he simply isn't for sale (much like Stones).
Arsene however is much classier than certain other managers and doesn't use the press as tool to tap up players. Hence why the tabloids haven't covered it.

Enquiries happen all the time between clubs, they just get leaked to the press when one sides wants to force through a deal

Is it a bit like a British transfer for a winger,the sherman's bit City's hands off once the fee got to a substantial sum
All part of their moneyball philosophy,buy young then sell to the big clubs at a big profit.You can't win much when the sherman's are looking to make money.
Proper big clubs buy talent at their peak and not potential.Mid table clubs like Everton and Liverpool go the potential route
