"Any time I watched him under Lennon he seemed a little tentative on the ball but under Delia he looked stronger, quicker and certainly looked a lot more arrogant on the ball which is what I wanted to see."

This^^^^^^^^

He looked to have matured and had more confidence, the next 18 months are pivotal to his development, play as many games as he can get at Hibs and next season rotate him with Broony/Biton

I remember Kyle Hutton looking good in Europe.

Ah his infamous world class showing in a 9 man midfield against Man United

I don't think any young player who goes out on loan ever makes it.

Do you mean in general or in regards to going out on loan from Celtic or Rangers?

Ronny likes his players to play their way out and that he could do it is his defensive skills that need polishing

That's why I'm thinking it will be a no brainer mate. He'll be leaving DUFC anyway so we shouldn't feel bad about him joining Celtic.

McGregor went out on loan at rangers did he not?

This may also be unpopular with a few but next year could be the perfect time to be joining Celtic, and alot of this has to do with the return of rangers to the league It automatically makes it more exciting, whether you dislike it or not. We're the top dogs in the country, playing in Europe every season and our main rivals will just be coming back into the league

Harry Kane did alright Partick, he had 4 loan deals.

It's Eoghan O'Connell that I want to do well, he's a handsome young man.

What must it be like for Ivan to see aw these players come together over a 2-3 period and then leave?

I haven't watched much of him the last 2 seasons to be fair but what I have seen is potential, well worth the risk imo

Personally I don't think it matters how any one played under Lennon.

Deila has changed the whole set up and style of play. What matters is getting the players to fit his system at a top level.

Having Henderson to cover that role if as you all expect him to do is good news. The 5 year deal is a good sign but as I said the amount of AM players we have could hinder some of them.

Personally I'd like to see Armstrong given the central AM role with Forrest and Christie either side.

That means we still have Johansen to cover the middle and All and GMS to cover the wide positions. Commons is effective when we play teams that sit in deep but I feel in the next 18 months his time is coming to an end. Possibly a step into the coaching team is ideal for him.

RnR

I don't miss them but the added excitement to the league will be good.

I did want Aberdeen to sustain their good run to a certain extent but now I just want them pumped every game

Piffle what you reckon on our potential play off opponents?

Ukraine.
Bosnia
Sweden
Hungary

Sorry NNH dont want to derail your thread, just looking for opinions.

Irish, on your day I feel you could do any of them

Cannot separate them so whoever you get it will be game on, I will even not bet on you for fear of sabotaging your qualifier with my bad luck

I really like Henderson, I would rather have kept him than brought in scott allan.

Me too mate

Being 5 points behind and them winning 8 on the bounce did have me concerned I will admit.

Now find myself looking at their fixtures and hoping they will get beat. That Hamilton game was torture to watch near the end with the fear of dropping points. It's good though, makes me look forward to the games alot more.

----------------------------------------------------------------------Like to avoid Ukraine being honest mate.

Dont want to be travelling there mid November and it minus 1000 degrees.

I feel we can certainly beat any of the rest over 2 legs.

Although I reckon the rest are also looking at ROI as a potential easier fixture.

Aberdeen on this continued run of form is great. I go to games nervous that we need to get a result ourselves.

That is what I enjoy more than going knowing the team can tunr up, play in second gear, get a 2-0 lead by half time and then cruise the second half.

NNH, rnr, it has been a while since I felt honest tension going into a game and NEEDING to win it, I still think the league will be way closer this season but we will win it

Makes watching the games more fun imo

I wasn't overly concerned in all honesty, had they still been 5 clear come January and still sweeping teams aside then fair enough but ultimately they've lost 3 big games on the bounce.

Dropped points tomorrow night and we can go top again, considering a lot of people had us in crisis, I'd say we've done not too bad in recent weeks without being totally convincing in some games.

We've still to hit form and that would be the worry for Aberdeen, they've had their good run and we are only one point behind them.

Im not trying to knock the boy, I just think the point is relevant that regardless of whether or not he is a good player Deila hasnt seen him as someone who is a part of the first team plans so far.

Can't disagree with that mate

I'll be honest, wehn Deila was announced as manager and hearing about him giving young players a chance I thought it was perfect for Henderson, he had just broken through towards the end of the previous season. I think he does see him as being Brown's long term replacement but as I've said, it's a worry as to how long that will take and the boy getting frustrated. I'm glad he's out on loan this year playing every week but it will defo be interesting to see what happens next season.

I hope the ROI sail through, better to be in your position mate than ours
