much like Barca of a few seasons ago teams eventually find a way to beat them, thought the highly rated much talked about Lewandowski very average last night

There's a few things to remember:
1) Bayern didn't need to win last night, Arsenal did
2) Arsenal are in great form
3) Bayern are missing their best player (Robben)
4) Arsenal scored with a handball
5) Cech made a few very good saves
6) Alonso and Vidal went off with 15 minutes left
7) Bayern should of had a penalty
Now Arsenal beat Bayern the only way a team can beat Bayern (or Madrid/ Barca), by taking our chance at the vital moment and holding out for a clean sheet.
Are Bayern all that? I don't think they are what they were before Pep took over, the likes of Muller, Lewandowski, Costa would all shine in a more direct and expressive system.
Translation: I'm butthurt and bitter that Arsenal won a big match when I expected them to get tonked, so I'm just gonna denigrate their opponents to make myself feel better.
The bitterness of some fans is laughable.
Prior to last night’s game Bayern were being lauded as the best team in Europe, and Lewandowski was going to have a field day. I understand they were on a considerable run of results too.
However folks want to interpret the result, it was a fantastic performance from Arsenal.
Bayern are a great team but they are still behind Barcelona and Real Madrid in my opinion.
The difference being Messi and Ronaldo.
but I couldn't help thinking last night that their football seems a bit passive with the endless pointless passes.

This is all down to Pep. He had is Barca team doing the same thing. At times it can be brilliant to watch but in some cases it looks like they're just doing it for the sake of posession and pass stats

By whom?
It was a huge win for Arsenal last night, and thoroughly deserved. But which of my points come across as "bitter"?
Perhaps 5, because Neuer also made one top save.

I did not watch the game, but have seen the report and saw that Bayern had three of their big hitters missing, Robben, Ribery and Goetze, so I have think we have to put the win into perspective a bit. The bottom line is though, that Arsenal are still bottom of their group, and winning one home game in the CL is not actually going to deliver the trophy. Over on the Arsenal board, suddenly both their full backs have become the world`s best and most of the rest of their team are now vying for the best players on the planet.
Very amusing that lot.
Arsenal raised their game.
It was their final.

Wrong, I expected them to win, as I expect them to lose the away leg. Bayern have a less than brilliant away record in the CL.

you thinking Goetze is a big player proves you didn't only not watch their game yesterday but you haven't watched them much at all. Even if he was fit he wouldn't have started yesterday. Kingsley coman was a bigger miss for them

And Neymar, Bale, Suarez etc
Bayern are the third best team in Europe, but a way behind Barca and Madrid.

Arsenal could/Should have scored 1 or 2 more.
Excellent performance by them and one any set of fans would be happy with.

WTF, this has to be a wind up you can't be that thick.
Bayern are the best team in Europe at the moment but don't think for a moment that result would have been the same say if it was a Quarter Final.
Bayern didn't get out of 3rd gear last night. Arsenal will get a major doing in Munich
