Delboy MAG was great. Was a huge hit in Japan and a few other countries. Generally not in the west where everyone wants to be Rambo and only care about k/d ratios. Teamwork was the heart of that game.

Xii - what a game so satisfying.

Odyssey to the west - my number 1 game ever stunning story which craved a sequel but no budget for one.

Sega gt2000 Xbox - such a classy racer not been bettered for me.

Yeah I managed to join a pretty large clan on MAG (not my usual CTU clan) the main mode (was it called infiltration?) was epic at the end having 250 guys all swarming a base was unreal on PS3 days.... As you said one of the more tactical shooters hence why i preferred it. The clan I was in sent a message out to evryone a week before the servers were goin down and loads of folk went on for the last few days. You can really see the similarities in MAG and the ported planetside on PS4 clearly the same team involved. I think Sony are quite happy to sell the rights for MAG someone should defo take them up on that.

Good to see someone else who actually played it let alone heard of it tho. It was the most underated FPS of that era hands down IMO

Heard of it delboy but mainly about the problems at release, this was prob in my heyday of PC MP games so due to this I ignored it.

MAG: Massive Action Game.

FPS with a few game modes main ones I played were Rush type and a game mode called infilatration or something like that (it aint that but something like that) the latter was easily the best. 128 players in each team Massive map. Attacking team has to progress up the map taking out key tactical fixed things that belong to the enemy ie. radar, anti aircraft weapons, power points, oil structures etc. taking down the enemies abilities ie bombing runs, radar etc. so that you are able to puch up further and get new spawns. After all that has been done push into the main base of the enemy (a big domination point A-G i think) enemy has to hold these points and get the "score bar" down to zero. Teams are split up into about 6 platoons. characters are levelled up ie you put stats into your character to make him better however you play the game ... want a good sniper guy put all your skill points into the sniper skill tree for eg. your guy can hold so much wieght for weapon loadout so you can take what you want so long as you stay within the weight limit.

FANTASTIC game as I said it was a little off when it just came out but after patches it played very smooth and a few of my mates who came down to my house couldnt believe it was the same game. It seemed to have a decent hardcore element to it. As I said best FPS I played on PS3, the only problem was that it was a high skill tactical level shooter that struggled to take away the CoD fanbase.

Simon the problems at release was mostly the movement sensitivity it moved too slow at first and then too quick when tyring to do precision work i felt, as I said once it was sorted tho ran like a dream. Im also pretty sure it was a Sony exclusive.
