Did you notice Weinmann's strike last night was similar to Zamora's at Wembley, oh the irony?
No I did not in the general euphoria of scoring - but you are right I think but I didn't see which QPR man laid it on ala Keogh. In fact I thought it was Keogh who laidit on for Weimann ?
Fozzy wasn't scythed down he just landed very awkwardly avoiding a tackle. Unfortunately I suspect it's yet another ACL injury. These injuries are so common in football nowadays, something needs to be done about the pitches and the footwear/studs, something is not right.
Warnock did a sterling job when he came on, but if Fozzy is out for as long as I fear then I think we will need to move into the loan market. Max Lowe is a promising player, but we can't just make do we need people who are top players at this level NOW. Nobody is really springing to mind as a possible loanee, perhaps Matt Targett at Southampton or Martin Olsson at Norwich.
Warnock should be good enough. If you get in somebody ahead of Warnock then there is no point having him in the squad at all. I guess there is a case for an attacking left-back loan who could alternate a bit with Warnock if we wanted an attacking line-up, otherwise we are looking at Lowe/Baird or even Shotton/Bucko to cover Warnock at a push. Morris has said previously he wants the third option for any position to be an Academy player in which case logic would say that Lowe steps up. Bidwell at Brentford has always looked good to me if we were to splash out on a permanent replacement. Ashley Cole of course is another option.
Agree, we should be looking for an emergency loan for left back.
We keep winning but not moving. At least if we win on Friday we are guaranteed to at least be above one of Boro or Hull on Saturday.
This league is starting to look like the Premiership was a few seasons back with four clubs winning almost every game. I expect Brighton to fall away soon and then it will be 3 out 4 for promotion.
From where I sat, it looked like Forsyth was actually avoiding being scythed down rather that actually getting hit. In such a case where does the blame lie?
The point I was making is that a big part of their game plan was excessively hard tackling without any concern about career injuries.
........and the referee let it go for some time.
Warnock away at Forest frightens me.
It's going to be a race to a red card when Ward lines up against him.
How many red cards has Warnock picked up in his entire career?
Yes I agree with your general sentiment Ramdini, just I think Fozzy was content to avoid the challenge and take the corner. Unfortunately in avoiding the tackle, he injured himself.
Why do fans make snap judgments on players based on nothing at all?

I am convinced that blades (or even the hybrid semi-blade studs) are partly to blame to ACL injuries. Quite simply, they get stuck in the pitch if there is a side on tackle and dont give as easily as a round stud does.
Ally that to the speed of players nowadays and firmer
pitches and its a recipe for ACL injuries.
On the Max Lowe isnt up to it question ... I dont know how good Lowe really is but just because he is young doesnt mean he cant fill in if he is capable. I seem to recall Steve Powell playing against Arsenal at the age of 16. If the management team think Lowe has the ability, he should be given the opportunity. Otherwise, the academy graduates will never get a chance to play for unless we send them out on loan first.
This is (as Mel Morris has suggested) the perfect opportunity to give Lowe some game time. Forsyth is #1, he's out so #2 (Warnock) gets his chance. Any injury to Warnock and Lowe, #3, gets a go.
Why do fans make snap judgments on players based on nothing at all?
because if you had to watch a player in depth before you were entitled to express an opinion then it'd be Xmas each season before you could express an opinion about your own side's 1st team regulars, and you'd never be able to express an opinion about any other players at all?
Just an opinion...
But in the case of Weimann, he wasn't a first team regular and still he was written off as a waste of money.
When he does get his chance, he takes it and in doing so will hopefully make Ince up his game, when he gets his chance again.
Better for the team all round.
I've heard Lowe is injured so an emergency loan might be needed.
Vidal asks -- Why do fans make snap judgments on players based on nothing at all?
Humans in all walks of life do just the same vidal. Not just football fans. Warnock disappointed many fans with his first appearance for getting sent off. Later he played some pretty poor games. But last night he had a really good game until he was elbowed and many on these pages saw that and accepted it. He will now be viewed in a different light.
Admitted 666 has made his mind up about Keogh and will not change it whatever happens but I think he is in a totally different class of his own.
No problem with opinions being expressed, just the categorical finality of the judgments which are given. I am more than happy to hear or to give an opinion that a player hasn't had a decent game, but when you read that a player is useless or should never be allowed to wear a Derby shirt again and it is based upon a couple of games then it's just nonsense. Curiously, those of us who do make such definitive pronouncements rarely have the class to admit that they have made berks of themselves when a player subsequently does well for us. It's as if their ego can't stand it.
As far as back up at left back is concerned we should use an academy player if there is one anywhere near first team standard. We never regretted introducing Hughes or Bennet or Hansen. At the same time we need to look at who is out there as a back-up. At that time we should weigh up the options and choose the better one.
Hi Ramdini....Good summation apart from one glaring omission from last nights entertainment..........The non appearance of Rammie for the second half after he was taking the urine out of the useless linesman.
I always judge a player on what I see. All footballers have off days but if poor performances are a regular occurence then the player has to improve part of their game or we get rid of them.
Last season Christie and Forsyth were poor for different reasons but this season they have improved that part of the game which was letting them down.
Weimann ran around like a headless chicken when brought on as sub until the second half against Huddersfield. Now his running into space has some purpose.
Butterfield was trying over ambitious shots and passes when he arrived but is now more effective by only shooting and making long passes when the need arises.
Other players such as Sammon never changed their game, possibly because they did not have the ability, so you eventually lose patience with them.
I often feel the same way about you Spart.
Part, who has lost patience with Sammon? He is honing his considerable skills and I have no doubt he has a significant role still to play. The Fish scores with parts other players can't even reach
