4 goals from 6 shots is pretty good going. no wonder all wolves fans now think Edwards deserves his starting place in the team. if only afobe and a few others were showing the same commitment and skill this season.

Given that he's one of the senior players, perhaps we can give Edwards the role of "Player/ Coach", if that were possible, (if he were able to earn some coaching-badges along the way). His influence could help stimulate his team mates, and it would maybe be a stepping-stone to his managing the club one day.

we need someone with a bit of vision, who knows what it means to wear the shirt with pride, and being a full international dave also brings a lot of experience to the role.

i'd certainly be thinking of making him club captain, and maybe even matchday captain.

Precisely - plus he actually has more energy.

Edwards has earned his place in the fans' affections, whereas Morgan paid for entry, and ended up with a fraction of the respect. Of course Edwards still has more to do, but could he one day be here as a successful manager? Would it be in my lifetime?

When was the last time we had a manager who'd previously played? I can only think of Shirtliff, and that was temporary.
