Who in their right mind wouldve stayed at Everton when Utd came calling?

----------------------------------------------------------------------Went well for him at United.
It's the way he said he would review at the end of the season, after being tapped up for le in January by Fergie

Leighton Baines...............................
Feillani left and is now a bit part player in a team that plays boring football
Sociedad was a strange choice for him but he has some work to do now to get his rep back on track.
Could see him at Forest.

Still think its harsh to criticise people making what they think is an upward career move
Baines gets very homesick and didn't want to play in Europe though.

I agree - trouble is we all knew he would fail at United and Sociedad and he will have to go back somewhere like Preston now and build up his reputation again

Yeah I dont think he has enjoyed all the european games he has played for us

Fulham will come calling. He'll get them promoted this season via the play-offs, waving to Chelsea on the way as they swap divisions...

It was the way he worked the situation, we could have had longer to look for and asses managerial targets if he had been honest when a new deal was offered at the start of his final year and at Xmas. He had already been tapped up but led the club to believe he would wait till the end of the season.
Like I said, thankful for what he did for the club, but no sympathy for him now
He can stick around and wait for McClaren to get the sack. Newcastle would have him.
Swansea looks like a job opening too, don't think they would take Rodgers and Allen back.....you don't get one without the other.
I hope Swansea stick with Monk a while longer and he can turn things around. Not quite sure why it's not been working for them this season.
It's not just the way he left us,it was what he said when he tried to sign Baines and Fellaini. Claiming we were holding the careers of Baines and Fellaini back because we refused to sell them to Utd on the cheap. Yet he sang a different tune when City were trying to sign Lescott.
Ferguson chose him simply because he's a fellow Scot and nothing more. Moyes was overwhelmed and made a huge mistake as many said at the time.
No, he picked him because he thought he would be a hit.
But unfortunately he wasn't. I bet Fergie wasn't pleased he failed after being hand picked by the big man himself
I have a feeling that he may well end up as Celtic Manager.
Best he goes to Scotland I think.
Arouna, if that's the case then Ferguson was the only man alive who thought he would be a hit. Why did he choose a Scot? There were better managers around than Moyes.
Why would Fergie appoint a man who would flip, if better were about why didn't he use his influence to get the best man and protect what he built?
