Billions of people can't all be infidels?

Surely?

They can't all be infidels but we know where majority of the infidels get their ideas from

where's that?

I need 'infidel' defining.

Am I an infidel for just wanting to get on with my life?

No it is not. Take a deep breath and look at the bigger picture. Look at how civilians of Islamic countries die at our hands too. It's complex and tragic but cycles of violence are causing this.

No.

If we in the west didn't support the likes of saddam, gaddafii, Osama etc then maybe this wouldn't be as bad. Blair and bush have created these lunatics. Power and revenge is their aim. Absolutely noting to do with Islam whatsoever. Anyone that thinks it is, ought to first study history and then issue comments and articles such as this one...

Well actually the Bible done did create these wars see as it's a book of hate that causes problems when people follow it to the letter or even selectively.

Works both ways. We used the Bible to justify an industrial scale slave trade and colonisation of the world. So take your Qu'ran cràp elsewhere.

You believe what you want to believe, istory will show Bush and Bliar to be evil people.

By a filet,

Yeah, course it was the Quran, Islam and Muslims... Just a reflection of your education bud. Blair and bush were up the a55 of saddam, Osama and gadaffi, but let's ignore that....

Who started the First World War? Was it Muslims?
Who started the Second World War? Was it Muslims?
Who killed the millions in Iraq and afghan recently??? Not us in the west?
Who killed about 20 million Aborigines in Australia? Was it Muslims?
Who killed more than 100 million Indians in North America? Was it Muslims?
Who killed more than 50 million Indians in South America? Was it Muslims?
Who took about 180 million of African people as slaves, of whom 88% died and thrown in the Atlantic? Was it Muslims?

Exactly. But I'd prefer to see people condemning these attacks at the moment rather than trying to explain or justify them.

Reading posts on here shows how peace cannot be achieved. Gung ho idiots beating their chest on hurt pride rather than actual sympathy. If they actually cared about lives lost they would not advocate for attacks on civilians in reply.

You're the same lunatics on a different side who should be condemned. I detest you.

Yeah, because we (west) haven't like been attacking Muslim countries lately killing millions of innocent folk and in the process creating lunatics have we? All for - oil? Seriously, were you born yesterday?

Mag - no one can ever justify the killing of innocent civilians, no matter where they occur. But context is important to whatever the solution is

I've rarely seen two such contradictory sentences in the same paragraph. You're not exactly coming across as a great humanitarian yourself there.

Last night wasn't an attack on innocent Civilians then?

The innocent civilians on the beach, sunbathing, weren't actually 'innocent civilians', the innocents on the Russian plane weren't civilians...?

They were innocent civilians. Their deaths were a tragedy and a great evil. I don't see how their deaths should be used to justify attacks on a different set of innocent civilians though.

RIP all those who lost their lives in Paris.

It is true that the wars raged by Blair and Bush in the Middle East have cause instability to a region. It in no way excuses the heinous acts that happened last night however, it is worth noting that this kind of event is happening regularly in countries like Syria and Iraq. Muslims are actually the biggest victim of organisations like ISIS. It is easy to blame all of Islam and label a whole religious group as a threat, but it is much more than that and that attitude will only compound what is becoming a very big, worldwide problem.

Following an event like this, people shouldn't get too hung up on justifying why it has happened. There is no justification for killing innocent people. However, it is important for the west to acknowledge the wrongs they have inflicted on a region, otherwise a solution will never be forthcoming.
