Think the people looking after Vardy and Mahrez are important in this, i have no idea of who the agents are but they are always looking at ways of how their clients can make the most money.
Leicester have their own Matth7/ Hafi hybrid.
Vardy will stay the season, he'll want ot be gong to France, then he'll drop Leicester like a hot coal.
hes a cross between hafi and got better

All depends where we are too. We're going places mate and the owners and manager expect to be competing with the top teams.
We're extending our stadium to 42,000, don't you think Vardy and Mahrez would be happy playing in a team that suits them brilliantly, in a big stadium, with a great manager, great fans, excellent facilities and owners that have the money to sustain top six football. You're all writing us off as the team and club of the past but the future has a very different Leicester City in wait.
Why would Vardy and Mahrez want to go and play for United when they're not going to enjoy playing like that every week. We play better football.

but youre gonna win feck all.
maybe they'd like at least one major medal before they retire
Well no guarantee of winning medals if they join any of the top four, they could play for all of them and not win anything.

In terms of Mahrez and Vardy I think that we have a good chance of retaining their services until the end of the season. However, if they continue their current form I feel it would be very difficult to retain their services beyond that. We may have more of a chance with Vardy. He’s already in his late 20’s and some big clubs may consider him a bit of a gamble (despite his form). Mahrez, however, is a sound, long term, investment.
Let’s be realistic. If Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester City show a real interest in these two then it’s difficult to see them staying. Football careers are short and the chance to test themselves at the highest level and win trophies is a real motivating factor. That’s before you even consider the kind of wages that these clubs can afford compared to Leicester.
I know that we have great, ambitious, owners, but again – let’s be realistic. The only two teams that have forced their way into the big four and, temporarily at least, forced clubs like Liverpool and Spurs out; are Manchester City and Chelsea. This has been done on the back of billions (or, at the very least, 100s of millions) of pounds of investment. You could also argue that they were bigger clubs, with better infrastructure, than Leicester to start off with.
To successfully challenge at the top our owners would not have to be ambitious, but seriously ambitious and ridiculously loaded. Ambition is good and our owners’ vision is great for our club, but I don’t think it would be undermining their efforts to say that they are starting from a position a million miles behind some of these other clubs mentioned.
Joby they've said they'll invest £180m and they're billionaires too.
Mahrez is happy in Leicester and married a Leicester girl who might not want to leave her family and Mahrez feels at home here. For as long as we're successful we have a chance of keeping him. As for wages, is anyone suggesting the owners couldn't afford to pay them a one off sum and a reasonable wage, like they did with Cambiasso?
Cambiasso was so happy he had to leave
arro,
I'm not disputing the details, but simply trying to be realistic that establishing LCFC at the top would be a long term project. Nor am I trying to suggest that we shouldn't be ambitious and 'reach for the stars' as it were.
Playing for Manchester United remains a far bigger draw for a player (personal circumstances aside) than playing for Leicester City. I cannot see that changing during my lifetime. However, 30 years ago I could not envisage a promising England international leaving Liverpool because he'd got more chance of winning trophies at Manchester City. But we're all aware of the levels of investment it has taken to reach that position.
Yeah I know what you mean but I think we could keep them for a while yet. No point Mahrez going to United with LVG as boss.
Cambiasso left because he wanted one last shot in the champions league due to his age.
No such rush with Mahrez
Why would Utd want Mahrez - he's a poor man's Di Maria and we all saw what LVG thought of him?!
Don't understand that.
Anyway, I know you love our club Arro but you must understand that Liverpool and Spurs are a big draw. Those 2 or a top 4 club offering likely first team football would see any of our players leave.
That said, I don't think Vardy is worth the risk for any of those clubs (although Spurs and Liverpool do have a habit of spending big on average players recently), so he may not leave.
Mahrez would fit in to some teams plans though. That said, if it's anyone outside the top 6, I do think we have a chance of holding on to them, and that is a massive step on for us as a club. We have our owners to thank for that.
But the way we're heading and Ranieri's Mission is for us to be in the top six above Spurs and Liverpool and why not?
Arro that may be the way we are heading but its not where we are. We could and maybe will fade and finish say 8th whereas at the clubs mentioned you know European football is basically guaranteed. Perhaps one day we could compete with these teams but look at Southampton they had all their best players picked up because of the history and status of the bigher clubs who came in for them
Next season and this season we could finish above both!
I don't think Southampton are the same as us though. Their aim isn't European football that was a bonus whereas not our owners its a prerequisite for where they want and need to be to achieve their goals.
They are ambitious, have the money, stadium, facilities, manager and squad to achieve European football this season and then every season after if we keep our players and continue to invest, which obviously we will.
The disadvantage Southampton had was nearly all their players were young and English and clubs need to buy them but we'll keep most of ours, including Mahrez if we're playing European football.
Marhez married to a Leicester might not want to leave to life in Paris Madrid Rome Barcelona, or London.
Your clutching a straws there mate
No i'm not at all. He's from Paris so I'm sure he doesn't fancy it there and my sister wouldn't want to live in any of those places so why assume a footballers wife will?
A lot of girls are very close to their families and would never move away so don't assume it's for everyone because it absolutely isn't!!
Asked if I would like to live in any of those cities and I would say no as well. They're not everyones cup of tea and this is something that really riles me because there are 7 billion people in the world and we all assume everyone wants the same things
